Ford is offering a limited number of 60th Anniversary Mustang packages in Brittany Blue. Only 1965 of the 2025 60th Anniversary edition Mustangs will be produced, in honor of the 1965 model. Customers have to register at Ford.com. The people chosen to receive the special color will be notified by email. The other colors available are Wimbledon White, Race Red, and Vapor Blue.
Brittany Blue was not offered as an original color of the Mustang. It debuted in 1967, but it is considered a classic Mustang color.
“Mustang has thrived for 60 years by taking risks and giving customers something a little bit different, a little bit more special than you’d get elsewhere,” said Joe Bellino, Mustang brand manager. “By dropping a color like this, we’re giving customers a chance to stand out even among the rarefied ranks of Mustang 60th Anniversary owners.”
Original 1964½ Ford Mustangs
Lee Iacocca ordered his designers to create an affordable four-seater that appealed to both women and men. The iconic Ford Mustang debuted on April 17, 1964, and soon went into production. It was first built as a hardtop and convertible, with the fastback following later. The original vehicles all were given 1965 VIN numbers because the production was late for the 1964 model year. The Ford Mustang is considered one of Iacocca’s greatest accomplishments. The Mustang created the pony car segment.

Ford Offering Retro Digital Gauge Cluster for 2024 Mustang Owners
To continue its celebration of 60 years of Mustang, Ford is giving 2024 Mustang drivers the option of changing the vehicle’s digital gauge cluster. The new retro digital cluster recreates the 1999-2001 Mustang SVT Cobra and will be available through a software update. The retro cluster shows the classic white dials during the day and then backlights the cluster in icy blue at night.
All 2024 Mustang customers with Automatic Software Updates turned “On” and set for a recurring schedule in the Software Updates Settings menu should have access to the new cluster as well as a previous 1967-68 digital gauge cluster that was released earlier this year.
