Derek and Hannah Jeter are back in a new ad for the Grand Wagoneer called 'Drove All Night'. The Jeters signed on with Grand Wagoneer last October and are continuing in their roles as brand ambassadors for Jeep’s premiere vehicles, the Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer L extended vehicle.

‘Drove All Night’ Inspiration
In the 30-second “Drove All Night” spot, Derek’s plane has been grounded due to weather, and it’s clear that it’s important for Derek to get to his final destination as soon as possible. The Grand Wagoneer takes Derek on his journey throughout the night, delivering him home to be greeted by Hannah and his children just in time to take them to school.
In a video news conference, both Derek and Hannah Jeter told reporters they are excited for the new campaign because the partnership with Jeep feels authentic to them. Derek pointed out that he is from Michigan, two hours from where the Wagoneers are built. Jeter is from Kalamazoo on the western side of the state. Hannah says both of her parents drive Jeeps, a Wrangler and a Cherokee.
The Jeters have a Grand Wagoneer now. Derek told reporters a funny story about taking his kids to school orientation. When they came out to the parking lot, they had trouble getting into the Grand Wagoneer. It was taking so long that people stopped to help. Turned out that they were at the wrong Grand Wagoneer! Someone had bought one just like theirs. Derek says “We like to have partnerships with companies we believe in.”
“The story behind ‘Drove All Night' was inspired by conversations with Derek and Hannah and their commitment to being present for their family in big and small ways,” said Marissa Hunter, senior vice president, Stellantis North America. “Both Derek and Hannah are incredibly authentic, successful across many dimensions, and they truly treasure the importance of family and family values. Grand Wagoneer is a perfect fit for their growing family, and we feel very fortunate to have them as part of our Jeep family.”
‘Drove All Night’ Was Used Before
If the “Drove All Night” song sounds familiar, it is. The version sung by Celine Dion was used to launch the original Chrysler Pacifica minivan in 2002. Chrysler created absolute pandemonium when it brought singing superstar Celine Dion in to sing the song during the Charity Preview at the North American International Auto Show. On the eve of the 2023 NAIAS, it is fun to think back to that crazy evening and see how the auto business is growing and changing. One thing has stayed the same. Star power sells vehicles. I imagine Derek and Hannah Jeter will help sell a lot of 2024 Jeep Grand Wagoneers.

Who sings the new version of Drove All Night in this commercial? The singer isn’t credited which is kind of unfair.
