The potential buyer has the rare opportunity to order the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV exactly the way he or she wants it and all of the money goes to charity.
One of the special vehicles crossing the block this week at Barrett-Jackson will help the environment in more ways than one. GMC is expanding its HUMMER EV lineup with the addition of an SUV version. GMC is donating the very first 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV for sale at no reserve. All of the money raised will benefit Tread Lightly!, a charity that works to protect the environment. The 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV has a three-motor e4WD propulsion system with GM-estimated 830 horsepower and 11,500 lb.-ft. of torque.
2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV Edition 1
GMC is donating an Edition 1 of the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV which is the highly desired, fully loaded version. This vehicle will have the VIN 001, meaning that it is the first retail production model. It will be Barrett-Jackson Lot #3002. Like its bigger HUMMER EV brother, the HUMMER EV SUV will be fully electric and be built on GM’s Ultium Platform. Because it can be configured to fit different sizes, Ultium is also what underpins the 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ and the upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV.
The Ultium technology and placement of the electric motors enable GMC to give the HUMMERS incredible off-road capability, 4-wheel steering gives the vehicle the ability to CrabWalk. It also enables Extract Mode, which allows the Adaptive Air suspension to lift the body of the vehicle so it can clear potential obstacles.
According to the Barrett-Jackson description,
“Standard features include a three-motor e4WD propulsion system with GM-estimated 830hp and GM-estimated 11,500 ft/lbs of torque, Edition 1 also comes equipped with Watts to Freedom for maximum acceleration capability, including a GM-estimated 0-60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds, and up to a GM-estimated 300 kW 800V DC Fast Charge. Hummer EV's signature open-air experience continues on the SUV with Infinity Roof, including removable transparent Sky Panels that can stow in the eTRUNK at the front of the vehicle.”
The HUMMER EV SUV features the latest version of Super Cruise driver-assistance technology. That means the driver can have hands-free driving and Automatic Lane Change on more than 400,000 miles of compatible roads in the U.S. and Canada.
The Lunar Shadow-themed interior features Tech Bronze accents and durable all-weather flooring. The HUMMER EVs also have a Bose 14-speaker audio system.

How You Can Bid on the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV
Barrett-Jackson is estimating that the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV SUV Edition 1 will go up for auction at approximately 6:30 P.M. Eastern on Saturday, January 28th 2023. People who are interested in bidding are encouraged to register at Barrett-Jackson.
GM has a history of using its premiere vehicles to raise money for charity. It has raised millions with the sales of its Chevrolet Corvettes over the years. The 2022 GMC HUMMER EV Edition 1 wowwed the crowd at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction when it raised an incredible $2.5 million dollars for charity. That year the money went to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The charity builds mortgage-free, accessible smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans, as well as mortgage-free homes for Gold Star families and the families of first responders killed in the line of duty. Barrett-Jackson waived all of the fees and commissions for the HUMMER auction so the entire $2.5 million went to the charity. The female buyer remained anonymous. Barrett-Jackson is again waiving all of the fees so the money will all go to Tread Lightly!.
