Jeep has announced that it is phasing out the 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 392 with a “Final Edition” special edition. As the Jeep brand moves to more fuel-efficient models, it is moving away from the HEMI engines. The limited-production 392 Final Edition will add more capability and special badging to mark the end of the HEMI-powered Jeep. The mighty Wrangler Rubicon 392 is the quickest and most powerful Wrangler available. It has a class-exclusive 6.4-liter HEMI V-8 with 470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. The Wrangler 392 will do 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.0 seconds. Jeep is not saying if the Wrangler will get a version of the Hurricane Inline 6 that will replace HEMI engines in other models.
“Jeep Wrangler 392 remains atop the mountain in terms of all-out performance, power and unmatched capability. These are game-changing strengths that our most impassioned Jeep enthusiasts asked us for, and that the competition was unable to match," said Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand – North America. “To celebrate the existence of this powerhouse, we’re sending the raucous, 392-powered Wrangler off in style with this special Final Edition, limited to just 3,700 units globally.”
