Ram has found a way to add some magic to the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic, creating a new Warlock edition. The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock conjures up memories of a previous Warlock edition, giving buyers a custom look straight from the factory.
Bewitching New Take on a Popular Pickup
Dodge first sold a Warlock pickup, back in the 70’s. According to Ram, It originally featured bucket seats, "fancy wheels, fat tires," chrome-plated running boards, real oak sideboards and special gold accent stripes inside and out. They only produced the Warlock package from 1976 until 1979. Now Ram is resurrecting the slightly sinister looking treatment with an all new Warlock edition.
Warlock features a bold grille with R-A-M lettering, front and rear powder-coated bumpers, 1-in. factory ride height lift and special Warlock decals. Buyers can also get a distinctive sport hood. No gold pin-striping is visible in the photos.
Ram is continuing Dodge’s original marketing strategy. It is appealing to younger truck buyers, offering an affordable truck that already looks like it is customized. The Warlock has some luxurious details without all of the high-priced bells and whistles.
"The Ram 1500 Classic Warlock is proof positive that value never goes out of style," said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand, FCA. "With its sinister monochromatic exterior, award-winning interior and great price, this mean machine is certain to resonate positively with consumers."
The 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Warlock will start at $37,040 and be available in a few months.
Along with the special black grille, the Warlock features 20-inch semi-gloss black aluminum wheels, black wheel flares, LED fog lamps, projector headlamps with dark bezels, LED rear tail lamps, black badging, tow hooks, unique hood decals and heavy-duty rear shocks. Warlock decals on the bedsides round out the package. The Warlock edition includes the Ram 1500 Classic's Luxury Group that includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel, auto-dimming rearview mirror, overhead console, 7-inch cluster display, LED bed lighting and power foldaway mirrors.
Customers can also add heated bench or bucket seats, an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen with navigation, black side steps and a spray-in bedliner.

Two Available Engines
Two engine options are available for the Warlock. The buyer can choose either the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, with 305 horsepower or the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8, with 395 horsepower. While it is available in ten different colors, I would imagine that it is most bewitching in Diamond Black, Granite Crystal Metallic or Maximum Steel.
It is important to emphasize that the Warlock trim package is only available on 2019 Ram 1500 Classic truck. That is the carryover model of previous Ram design, which is more affordable. The truck is newly manufactured, but it is not the all-new luxurious 2019 Ram 1500. You can compare the two truck versions here.
