The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica is receiving Parents.com Best Family Car Honors for the third year in a row. In its review of the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica, Parents names a number of reasons why it has chosen the Chrysler Pacifica as the Best Luxury Minivan.
Parents.Com Chrysler Pacifica Review
Parents website says the 2022 Chrysler Pacifica looks and drives more like a luxury vehicle than a minivan. “With an elegant dashboard design, leather upholstery, contrast piping, and even bolster pillows on the top-of-the-line Pinnacle edition ($54,167), you might forget it's a minivan.”
The magazine praises the minivan for its superior utility and family friendliness. The Pacifica has a motion activated rear liftgate, an on-board vacuum system, and Chrysler's famous Stow 'n Go second and third row seats that fold flat into the floor. My favorite feature is the FamCAM interior camera that allows parents to view child seat passengers in the rear and even zoom in to make sure that the child is ok. It also has the LATCH hooks for tethering baby, child and pet seats built into the second and third row of seats.
New for 2022, the Chrysler Pacifica has a rear seat reminder that alerts the driver with a chime and cluster message to check rear seats, whenever the driver gets out of the vehicle. The rear seat reminder is standard on all Pacificas.
WOW Factor for 2022 Chrysler Pacifica
In its write up, Parents.Com lists a Wow Factor for the popular minivan. “This is the only minivan with a PHEV motor and that is fantastic. Plugged in daily, most families can drive for weeks or months without buying gas. The Pacifica is also the only minivan with both a sunroof over every row and a standard in-car entertainment system (optional for the other minivans).”
The PHEV version, delivers 260 HP and has a range of 30 miles of all-electric driving before the hybrid motor takes over, getting 38 MPG. AWD is not available with the hybrid, but can be added to the gas model for $2,795.
