A Very Eventful Time For The Blue Oval
This has been quite an eventful time for the Blue Oval. Look at the news reported, and you’ll see.
There has been continuing great news about the automaker’s top-rated Maverick Hybrid pickup. Consumer Reports has again named it a top buy.

For example, reports the Ford Authority, a leading independent news source on Ford, “shortly after the refreshed 2025 Ford Explorer debuted at the beginning of last month, “it was followed by its more luxurious counterpart, the 2025 Lincoln Aviator. The intro of the Lincoln Aviator was just a couple of days later than its more pedestrian relative, the Explorer.
Production Plans Set for the Aviator
The Aviator, says FA, is slated to be be built at Ford’s Chicago Assembly plant. Production is set to begin on May 13. The first model set to go is the Police Interceptor Utility vehicle. Production on the Interceptor model is set to begin a bit later. Overall, the Lincoln Aviator lineup is set to “enter production” in the same time frame.

And even though the production start is set in May, it may slip a bit. Indeed, in the recent past, FA says all production dates depend on supply chain issues and other factors.
Overall, the 2025 Aviator has received a bunch of changes. The changes are all part of its mid-cycle refresh, including:
Known Plans and Changes
- Revised front and rear looks
- An updated contoured mesh grill that has also been raided a bit
- New LED headlamps and running lights that span the entire front end
- Revised packages
- On the inside, customers “will find a new larger 13.2-inch infotainment screen and 12-4-inch digital instrument cluster running the new Lincoln Digital Experience software, while BlueCruise is available for the first time, too
According to sources, the power trains will be revised a bit. First the Aviator will be equipped with the twin -turbo V-6 that cranks out 400 horsepower and 415-puounds feet for torque.
10-Speed Automatic Handles The Power
Handling that output will be a 10-speed automatic. As noted, the Aviator is slated to begin its production shortly. The big guns, just described, will makes its way off the assembly line this summer.
One thing to note is that the new Aviator will carry a heavier price tag, according to FA.
