The Absolutely Red vehicle (their terminology not ours) comes with black contrasting sideview mirrors and glossy matching 18-inch alloy wheels – producing a profile like a combustion accelerant on wheels – with the striking Scion logo on the hub.
This cool crimson coupe features a five-piece body kit, inspired by Troy Sumitomo of Five Axis, including front and rear lower valences, side skirts and a two-tone rear spoiler, complete with an RS 8.0 badge.
The bright red bundle of attitude comes with performance parts from Toyota Racing Development, comprised of lowering springs and an exhaust port centered in the rear lower valence. Paddle shifters are added to TRD-emblazoned steering wheel on the automatic transmission option.
On the inside, the tC RS 8.0 features seats for the sporting man or woman, wrapped in textured black fabric with contrasting red stitching, that continues along the leather wrapped steering wheel. Each one comes with its individually numbered badge commemorating the special edition.
Warranty and Complimentary Scion Service Boost
All Scions are covered by a 3-year/36,000-mile limited warranty and a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty. The tC RS 8.0 comes standard with Scion Service Boost, a complimentary plan covering normal factory-scheduled maintenance for two years or 25,000 miles and two years of 24-hour roadside assistance.
Pricing
The limited edition model will carry a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $21,815 for the six-speed manual and $22,865 when equipped with a automatic transmission. That price does not include destination and handling fees of $730. However those fees may vary for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota and Gulf States Toyota.
