Automotive propane fueling makes headway in Oregon

Cleaner-burning and more economical propane autogas is the most widely used alternative fuel in the world. The U.S. supply of propane is 90 percent domestically produced and currently provides savings of more than $1 per gallon over gasoline in these two locations. As the West Coast provider for the Alliance AutoGas network, Blue Star Gas's Salem station helps make this environmentally sensible, American-made fuel a viable alternative for Oregon fleets.

Alliance AutoGas is a nationwide network of propane industry professionals that provides autogas vehicle conversions as well as on-site fueling infrastructure, supply and technical support.

We're celebrating that by hosting an open house to give folks in Salem the opportunity to drive one of our autogas vehicles."

The Blue Star Gas Salem station grand opening attendees included Blue Star Gas president Jeff Stewart, representatives of the Keizer and Salem Chambers of Commerce, members of the Columbia-Willamette Clean Cities Coalition and the North Salem Business Association, as well as the Statesman Journal.
