One of the most popular questions lately from viewers of my “ToyotaJeff Reviews” YouTube channel is about Toyota RAV4.
Specifically, people want to know what to expect for 2022 Toyota RAV4 and 2022 RAV4 Hybrid.
2022 Toyota RAV4 Changes
Let me first say that information on 2022 RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid is limited and has been for the last year. Not much news to report from Toyota camps. Usually when we do not hear much about an upcoming model year, we can expect some changes. Surprises of sorts.
Just changes that a manufacturer is not ready to reveal yet.
This is not a Toyota RAV4 redesign year since it has only been three years for this current generation. And there probably is also no need, as RAV4 is currently the best-selling small SUV in the entire country.
But we could potentially see some tweaks with styling, interior features and paint color options.
I have learned of one new color for sure coming to 2022 RAV4 and 2022 RAV4 Hybrid.
2022 RAV4 Colors
Cavalry Blue is making its way to 2022 Toyota RAV4. Yes, that is right. Cavalry Blue.
Many Toyota fans will immediately recognize this cool paint color from Toyota TRD Pro. The exclusive TRD Pro color for 2018 Tundra, 4Runner and Tacoma was Cavalry Blue.
You can still find Cavalry Blue on some current Toyota trucks.
In fact, I recently wrote a Torque News story announcing that Cavalry Blue is also now a color for 2022 Camry TRD.
Cavalry Blue is one of my favorite Toyota colors of all time. I am big fan of blue vehicles, which may have impacted my choice of Cavalry Blue as my favorite Toyota TRD Pro color of all time (do you agree with my TRD Pro color rankings?).
How to Get 2022 RAV4 in Cavalry Blue
Not all RAV4 and RAV4 Hybrid trim levels will offer Cavalry Blue as a choice for buyers.
The most polarizing grade for me will be 2022 Toyota RAV4 XSE Hybrid. You will be able to choose from Blizzard Pearl, Silver Sky Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic and Cavalry Blue.
I cannot wait to see this incredible blue color mixed in with RAV4 XSE Hybrid gloss black accents.
RAV4 TRD Off-Road will also carry Cavalry Blue as an option.
There may be another 2022 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid carrying Cavalry Blue. Time will tell in the next month or so.

Toyota needs to take the RAV

Toyota needs to take the RAV to a Lexus camp. The ride needs smoothed out and some more sound deadening materials throw out. The doors need to open a little wider. The engine needs to go to finishing school and the transmission needs to be a little more playful.
Not at the RAV4 price point.

Not at the RAV4 price point. If you want those upgrades then Toyota wants you to move up to the new NX.

My favorite color for the Toyota all wheel drive rav 4 and rav 4 hybrid is lime green. It is such a cool color. Or maybe an evergreen.
Green in one of my favorite colors anyway. Either color would make these Toyota all wheel drive vehicles look awesome.
