First Photos Revealed of Lunar Rock 2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro

The highly anticipated 2021 Toyota 4Runner will hit dealerships soon. Every year fans of Toyota and of 4Runner look forward to learning what color has been chosen for TRD Pro.

We recently learned the answer.

2021 Toyota 4Runner

Lunar Rock is this year’s designated color choice for exclusive Toyota TRD Pro models. You will find it on 2021 Tundra, 2021 Tacoma, 2021 Sequoia and definitely on 2021 4Runner vehicles this fall.

Fans are getting excited.

Dan was pleased. “Love Lunar Rock. My favorite new Toyota shade.”

“My wife has a Lunar Rock RAV4 and we love it. Time for a matching Tacoma.” Said Tim.

BigAnthony commented. “I wasn’t sure about this color at first but it’s growing on me fast!”

Maria wondered. “How will Lunar Rock look on 4Runner though?”

That is a great question. I am glad we can all have a look and discuss it.

Lunar Rock TRD Pro

To me Lunar Rock is a solid representation of what a Toyota TRD Pro stands for. What I mean by this is that TRD Pro models are known for their toughness – their ruggedness. I feel Lunar Rock will help continue this legacy well.

Lunar Rock is a cross of a lighter green mixed with gray and silver and cement. I wonder if you mix those colors up, would you actually get anything close to Lunar Rock? Probably not, but you get the picture.

Speaking of Cement, this was previously a TRD Pro color. Other chosen colors over the past several years were Inferno Orange, Quicksand, Cavalry Blue, Voodoo Blue and Army Green.

Army Green, the TRD Pro color for 2020 model year, will now be available on 2021 Toyota 4Runner Trail Special Edition.

2021 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro

Toyota 4Runner added many important updates like Toyota Safety Sense and multimedia additions (Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa) for the 2020 model year.

A 2021 Toyota 4Runner will add in a few changes of its own.

I recently wrote a Torque News story about these changes, but here are some highlights.

LED headlamps and fog lights are standard across the board. Trail Special Edition is coming.

Plus, TRD Pro has some changes for 2021. Look for re-tuned FOX shocks, new wheel design and LED high beams. You can see examples of this in the pictures.
