These FJ Cruiser Colors are Perfect for 2024 Toyota TRD Pro

Two days ago, I wrote a Torque News story on the unique signature color for 2024 Toyota TRD Pro. This should include soon-to-be-revealed 2024 Tacoma, Toyota Tundra, Toyota 4Runner, and Toyota Sequoia. I polled fans and asked for their ideal color choices.

Over 50,000 people read my story with plenty of feedback.

This got me thinking about a cool retro idea for my personal top TRD Pro colors.

FJ Cruiser History with TRD Pro

Every year since 2015, Toyota has selected a signature “hero” color for its world-famous TRD Pro lineup of Tacoma, Tundra and 4Runner. Sequoia followed this pattern in the last couple years as well.

But there is already a cool history between TRD Pro and the iconic FJ Cruiser.

Toyota has previously plucked many TRD Pro colors from the FJ Cruiser palette. For the 2016 model year, Quicksand was picked. And Cavalry Blue for 2018. And Voodoo Blue for 2019. How about Army Green in 2020.

That is pretty impressive, since four of the total nine color have come from FJ.

So, what would stop Toyota from doing this same thing again for 2024 Toyota Tacoma and the other three models?

With that said, here are my favorite FJ Cruiser color choices (that have not already been used) for 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro (and Tundra and Sequoia and 4Runner).

Black Cherry

My top choice these last few years has been Black Cherry. I think this would look wicked cool on something like Tundra TRD Pro and 4Runner TRD Pro.

So far, Toyota has not accepted my personal favorite, so maybe 2024 will be the year it finally happens.

Sun Fusion Yellow

Can you imagine the stares and looks of admiration your 4Runner TRD Pro (yes you too, Sequoia and Tundra and Tacoma) would get in Sun Fusion Yellow?

Sun Fusion was introduced the very first year FJ Cruiser was manufactured in the United States, and I feel this would make an amazing first impression.

Brick Red

I picked two different shades of red for my rankings, as red almost always looks amazing on SUVs and trucks.

Brick Red brings with it a tougher, more imposing look. I believe this would be extremely popular with 2024 Tacoma fans.

Radiant Red

A bright and cherry-red shade is on the other end of the red spectrum from Brick Red, but this would be eye-popping to say the least.

2024 Tundra and Sequoia and 4Runner and Tacoma would all look fantastic if this ends up being the final choice.

Magma

The reason this legendary FJ Cruiser color will not be selected is that we just had Solar Octane orange as the 2023 Toyota TRD Pro color.

Inferno Orange was the very first TRD Pro color back in 2015, which also makes Magma more of a remote possibility.
Regardless, I really like it and it made number five on my list.
