I have been studying Toyota cars, trucks and SUVs for the last 15 or so years. I have also owned five of them in this span.
My first hybrid, though, is my new 2021 Toyota Venza Limited. I find it smooth and incredibly comfortable.
Yes, I know my Venza well already. Ask me about its hybrid components, though, and I may begin to get that glazed look in my eyes. You know, that of mild confusion.
You see, the Toyota Hybrid Synergy system is complex and can be intimidating to learn more about. At its core it is basic. You have a gasoline engine working in tandem with electric motors to give you the best efficiency and fuel economy.
However, there is so much more to know and to learn. Time to ask an expert.
2021 Toyota Prius engine
My friend Ali Mohagheghi in Raleigh, a Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician, agreed to take me on a tour of a hybrid engine. In short, what is under the hood.
Our video tour, including an inside look at 2021 Prius and 2021 Venza engines, identifies the primary components you may want to know.
Ali also answers viewer questions such as “How long does a Toyota hybrid battery last, how do you start one if battery is dead, where is the battery pack located, and how dependable are Toyota hybrids."
In the video Ali shows us the components of 2021 Prius, 2021 Camry Hybrid and the all-new 2021 Venza Hybrid.
VIDEO TOUR: Take a tour with expert Toyota technician. I hope this helps you know more about Toyota hybrid technology.
One thing I did not know until now is that you can jump start some Toyota hybrids, like found on 2021 Camry Hybrid, from the fuse box under the hood. You do this if the 12V battery is found in the trunk compartment of your hybrid vehicle.
Time for your thoughts on 2021 Toyota Prius
Toyota has so many hybrid vehicles available now like 2021 Venza, 2021 Sienna, 2021 Prius, 2021 RAV4 Hybrid and 2021 Highlander Hybrid.
Some would say it is more important than ever to feel comfortable with a Toyota hybrid. No need to feel overwhelmed or intimidated.
Toyota has been mastering hybrid technology since Prius over two decades ago.
Have you purchased a Toyota hybrid lately? How is your Toyota Prius, Toyota Venza, Toyota RAV4 Hybrid doing and how many miles do you have on it?
Remember, Toyota has a new extended hybrid battery warranty. This covers your vehicle for 10 years or 150,000 miles. I like to say that even though these Toyota hybrid engines are incredible reliable and trustworthy, it is nice to have that additional peace of mind.
Feel free to leave a comment or question for Ali and we will try to answer it for you.
Thanks for reading everyone. See you next story when I tell you what you should know about 2021 Toyota Venza safety systems.
