The 2020 C8 Corvette Has The Loudest Bose Audio System In A Two Seat Coupe

The 2020 C8 Corvette is now among us and the performance of the car has blown all of us away. The finer details of the car are not quite as well known yet but today we get a video from Bose explaining to us the details of the all new audio system inside of the C8 Corvette.

14 speaker system, the most Bose has ever installed in a two seater

This is the largest system Bose has ever installed into a coupe and it's going to sound amazing. The 7th generation Corvette had "just" a 10 speaker Bose system in it and it sounded great. Bose has put a lot of work into this system and because of the cabin shifting forward from the previous generation Corvette the sound properties changed as well.

Bose engineers claim that the process of getting the sound stage correct in the C8 Corvette required an “innovative and creative” approach and that they (Bose) "have designed a system that’s unlike anything else in the Corvette’s entire history."

The Bose Performance Series system for the new C8 Corvette includes 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch speakers across the instrument panel, 4 inch wide range speakers and 1 inch tweeters in each upper door panel, a pair of 5.25 inch wide range speakers and three additional 3.25 inch speakers in the rear of the cabin as well as a 10-inch Bose woofer in each door.

Bose has been the official audio choice of Chevrolet since the fourth generation of the Corvette and for good reason. The sound system has fit the looks and performance of the car in the past and the C8 Corvette is no exception.
