Anyone who owns a Prius and has had an issue knows that getting good help can sometimes be severe. What is worse is when you end up going to a shop that knows nothing about hybrids, and they screw up your car, or they take you for all you are worth.
I have many connections in the hybrid world and wanted to share a few tips that can help every Prius owner. Here is what you need to know about finding help and where.
What To Look For In A Hybrid Repair Shop
Choosing the right shop is incredibly important. If you end up in a place that you cannot trust, you could end up worse off. Looking for a shop that has the right credentials is the first thing you should do. ASE certification goes a long way with helping you know that a shop has at least tried to be accredited.
ASE is only one thing that you should look for. If you want some other tips for finding a good shop, check out this article here. One more thing, make sure that the shop you choose has excellent reviews. Check Google, Yelp, or other sites that have positive things to say about the shop. Consumers are pretty honest, and seeing what they have to say can help you out.
Where Can I Find A Suitable Prius Repair Shop?
Glad you asked. No matter what problems you may be facing, whether it is a P0A80 or even looking for essential routine maintenance you still need someone you trust. Lucky for you I can help with that.
I have friends that are hybrid trainers, and they have done that hard work for us Prius owners. The Certified Shop Program that the Automotive Career Development Center has built gives every hybrid owner peace of mind. The program means that shops that want to work with hybrids can take specialized training to learn specifically about cars like our Prius.

Conclusion
Make sure that if you are looking for an alternative to the Toyota dealer, you choose a technician you can trust. Always make sure that the place working on your Prius, solves the issue you brought it in for.

Hi, My girlfriend owns a 2020 Prius, after a small accident she has continued to experience issues. Toyota dealers have not been helpful, saying it sounds normal when it clearly doesn't. Driving a second Prius shows that hers is much louder, like its attempting to shift gears but can't. We are in Denver and would love to find an individual specializing in hybrids. Please help, if possible.
Thank you!
