The new 2020 Corvette C8 is something everyone wants keys to. General Motors and Chevrolet have finally made the Mid Engine Corvette possible for all of us. I had the opportunity to have the keys in my hand for the 2020 Mid Engine C8 Corvette. This new Corvette is a sight to see and will knock your socks off. After having lots of quality time with the C8 Corvette I would like to share my thoughts and impressions with you.
First off I have to say how much I admire what Chevrolet has done for the future of the Corvette. On my YouTube Channel, CGarnerSpeed252, lots of my followers send me emails asking lots of questions since I now have a very close relationship with Chevrolet. I decided to ask the engineers some of my followers’ most pressing questions. Why didn’t Chevy decide to put the retractable screen inside the C8 Corvette? It turns out there is just not enough space inside the car for this feature anymore.
When you look at the Corvette C8 and see the new screen it feels like you are touching an IPad which is pretty cool. The infotainment system inside the new C8 Corvette is a Gen 3 which is completely different from the Gen 2 software in the C7 Corvette. This new Gen 3 software allows the data to be processed even faster than the C7 Corvette.
The next-generation Corvette and what it will offer
One thing I truly believe people will love about the New C8 Corvette is the legroom. I fit really well inside of the Corvette and I am 6’2”, 190 lbs. I will admit the C8 Corvette is longer than the C7 Corvette to fit taller people, but it’s not as wide as the C7 Corvette. There are always going to be pros and cons, you just have to figure out which one outweighs the other. With that being said, I believe most people will feel comfortable inside the affordable Mid Engine C8 Corvette.
One thing a lot of people did not like about the C7 Corvette that was improved on the C8 Corvette was the cup holders. Trust me you will love the new cup holders inside the C8 Corvette. There's so much that has been improved on this new ‘Vette.
My favorite part about the C8 Corvette is how visible the motor is located in the rear. I personally have always wanted to own a car where I could walk out and see the motor. Im sure with the new engine appearance package you will be happy to see and show your car in shows. This new Corvette comes in 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT which all have their pros and cons depending on what works best for you. If it was me I would get the 2LT because it comes with everything I need - it’s right in the sweet spot.
Another thing that is great with the New C8 Corvette is the way it sounds. With the Z51 package, you get the 14 Bose speakers and with the Stingray, you get 10 Bose speakers. Either way, you will have an amazing sound with your new Corvette. I have much more to learn about the New C8 Corvette because I would like to provide you all with the best information.
