Just this week, the sales figures for the Ford Mustang came out, and as expected, the Mustang was the clear sales leader and almost matched total sales volume for 2020 of both the Dodge Challenger and the Chevy Camaro. The figures for the Camaro were downright putrid in fact.
The iconic Ford Mustang is the last remaining car in the Ford stable, and for good reason. While it’s not been a great year financially for Ford, or any carmaker really, the Mustang continues to be a rock-solid performer.
And as we reported, there are plenty of aggressive financing options available for the Ford product line, which includes the Mustang. So when I learned that a Cincinnati, Ohio-based Ford dealership was selling a 2020 Ford Mustang GT that has 750 horsepower for under $45,000, I had to investigate. So I asked the performance-oriented experts at Beechmont Ford what is entailed in this supercharged Mustang.
What Do You Get for $44,994?
For under $45,000 you get a 2020 Ford Mustang GT, 300A with a six-speed manual transmission plus a Roush Phase 2 Supercharger (installation included). Charlie Watson who is a marketing Marketing Director for the Mark Williams Auto Group said, “This is a turn-key (well technically a push-button) package. The car will be ready to rock when it’s delivered.”
Horsepower for this build is rated at 750 hp, which is only 10 hp less than the Shelby GT500 but for a lot less. Additionally this Mustang build will have 670 lb.-ft. of torque at 12 psi of boost. This is all thanks to the Roush TVS 2650 Supercharger.
And according to Watson, it’s all available for $0 money down.
Is There A Warranty?
Because Roush Performance is a corporate partner with Ford, the Roush warranty and the Ford warranty work in concert with each other. Watson said, “You are covered for 3 years, 36,000 miles and the warranty is good at any Ford dealership in the nation.
That’s good because Beechmont Ford Performance builds many of these custom cars for people throughout the country, not just in Ohio. “We can build and ship your car anywhere in the United States!” Watson said.
Other Custom Builds
I’ve written a couple other times about some of the custom builds through Beechmont Ford Performance (BFP). For example, they’ve done retro-looking Ford F-150s and also a 725-horsepower 2019 Ford F-150 for under $40,000. So this new Mustang deal is just part of what they do from a customized and performance-oriented standpoint.
“Our 750 HP for $44,994 deal is very popular because of the value,” Watson said. “However, it only starts there. No matter what your goals are, we are the solution. Start by picking your car! We can build your custom Mustang on any platform. 10-speed automatic, 6-speed manual, convertible, fast back, premium or base. We can do anything from custom stripes, paint, tint, vinyl wraps, suspension, superchargers and everything in between.
So, if you could build one, what would you pick? Me? I’d choose a convertible in orange with a black stripe or maybe lime green. I like bold colors. Leave me a comment and let me know how you’d build your custom Mustang.
