When the new C7 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray made its world debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, many of the loud mouthed, old school Corvette owners cried foul at the new look – insisting that this car wouldn’t succeed due to the unconventional look – but after the first four months of 2014 the new Corvette is outselling the previous model by almost 200%.

This past weekend I was privy to seeing and hearing a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible mule out on the open road and while I am not sure if the car that I heard was wearing production spec exhaust – the few brief seconds that I heard of the new supercharged LT4 sounded sweet enough to melt the heart of any performance car lover.

When the National Corvette Museum issued a picture of the Mallett Hammer Corvette upside down in the dirt earlier this week with the rear wheels and suspension seemingly intact, there were hopes that this super tuned Corvette would be in better shape – but when the car was removed it turned out to be the most severely damaged of the 8 cars in the sinkhole.

The Union Auto Workers at General Motors’ Bowling Green Kentucky facility where the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray held a vote last night whether or not they should strike – with a whopping 93% voting in favor of refusing to work until their demands are met.
