The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall of select Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan models from the 2012 model year over a concern that a rear liftgate pinch sensor may malfunction – increasing the likelihood of injuring someone when the power door is trying to close with a person’s body part in the way.

We have known since the debut of the new 2013 SRT Viper that there would be a Viper GTS-R that would put the supercar back into factory backed LeMans racing and while information was short at the New York Auto Show debut – more information has quietly been posted on the DriveSRT website giving us a good look at what the SRT team to get the new Viper into the 2012 American LeMans Series.

Today the Chrysler Group announced the start of production for the 2013 Dodge Dart at the Belvidere Assembly Plant in Illinois – with the very first new Dart to roll off of the line for public consumption being a 2013 Dart Rallye powered by the optional 1.4L turbocharged engine fitted to a manual transmission.
