The Chrysler Group announced the details for their 2013 Ram 1500 today with a slight facelift, more power from the Hemi, the new Pentastar V6, an air suspension system, start/stop technology and an 8-speed automatic transmission for both engines that is expected to help increase fuel economy by roughly 20%.

Today at the New York Auto Show debut of the 2013 SRT Viper, SRT brand CEO Ralph Gilles announced that the folks at Turn 10 Studios had indeed rendered the Viper images that hit the internet last night – as Xbox 360’s driving simulator Forza Motorsport 4 will soon be offering the 2013 Viper in both gameplay and Autovista modes via the upcoming Viper Pack.

The automotive world has known for ages now that the 2012 New York International Auto Show would introduce the world to the next generation of the fabled Dodge Viper-turned SRT Viper but when the press conference ended just a few minutes ago, the world was not introduced to one but rather three new versions of the gorgeous 2013 SRT Viper – the standard Viper, the Viper GTS and the new Viper GTS-R race car.

Even though rally champion Travis Pastrana announced his new partnership with Chrysler and SRT Motorsports which has him racing the new 2013 Dodge Dart Rally Car just over a week ago, we already have our first (rally good) look at the new Dodge compact race car in action – tearing around the Chrysler Chelsea Proving Grounds in a Ken Block style video.

The folks at the Inside Line introduced these pictures earlier today, showing what looks like the 2013 SRT Viper in a computer generated world with graphics that strongly resemble something that would be seen on the Xbox 360’s Forza Motorsport 4 – giving us our best look yet at the new American supercar hours before the car is formally introduced in New York.

Just a few minutes ago, the DriveSRT Facebook page issued the newest teaser of the 2013 SRT Viper, giving us a shadowy look at the hood and roofline of the new supercar but with a little quick image enhancement – a great deal more of the new Viper becomes visible.

The 2013 SRT Viper will make its grand debut on April 4th at the opening day of the 2012 New York Auto Show and for those Dodge, Mopar, Chrysler and SRT enthusiasts who cannot make it to the Big Apple for the show but still want to see the all-new American supercar meet the world, the DriveSRT Facebook page will have live streaming video of the new Viper debut.

Last week, we brought you the news that Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne had declined salary or bonuses for his work at Chrysler through 2011 but fans of the sweater-wearing auto genius shouldn’t worry too much about the Chief being able to pay his bills as it was announced that Marchionne mad around $19 million for his work at Fiat last year.

Two weeks ago, a grainy picture of what was supposedly the 2013 SRT Viper in Hot Wheels form hit the internet with some skepticism over whether or not that was really the next Chrysler supercar and now, images have surfaced on the internet of the actual Hot Wheels toy car – with what appears to be the 2013 SRT Viper in 1:64th scale.
