FCA has rolled out two new commercials for the Dodge lineup, focusing on the success of the 707 horsepower Challenger SRT Hellcat, and the result is a pair of videos that might be the coolest car commercials I’ve seen in many moons.

The well-known wall art company Fatheads has rolled out a new lineup of Dodge brand items, including huge, high resolution wall decals of the Dodge Viper, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, the Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack, a handful of other vehicles and a wide array of modern Dodge badges – all of which are ready to be safety stuck to your wall in style.

While there is no sign of FCA planning to build a Ram pickup with the supercharged Hellcat Hemi, a dealership in Ontario, Canada has built a Hellcat-powered pickup truck for one of their customers – complete with 707 horsepower, four wheel drive and a unique body upgrades.

It was more than a year ago when the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat X was introduced as part of the Dream Car Giveaway program, with a unique engine build featuring a twin turbo setup in addition to the factory supercharger lifting the output to over 800 horsepower and today – we bring you the end of the story, with the Hellcat X being awarded to Mr. Dennis Daly.

The first list of vehicles for Forza Horizon 3 has been announced and there are some Mopar heavy hitters on that list, including the Hellcat Challenger, the Hellcat Charger, several different Vipers and a couple of classic Mopar muscle cars – along with a few Jeeps, a pair of Fiats and a Chrysler 300 SRT.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat are a couple of the quickest, fastest and most powerful production cars in the world, but if you “need” an extra 793 horsepower from your modern Mopar muscle car – Savage Street Cars in Houston, Texas can lift the output of your Hellcat Hemi to 1,500 horsepower for less than $11k installed.

Over the past few weeks I have seen a growing number of links to junk news sites insisting that the 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and the 2017 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat will be getting more power – but I don’t believe for one second that the mighty Hellcat Hemi will be getting a boost in power so soon after being introduced with 707 horsepower and 650lb-ft of torque.

After just five model years, the Dodge Dart will seemingly meet its demise when production ends in September at the company’s Belvidere, Illinois plant – clearing the way for production of the far more popular Jeep Cherokee.

After the first 5 special edition packages for the 2017 Dodge Viper sold out within a few days of going on sales, FCA has cooked up one more special edition American Club Racer which will seemingly cap off the spread of limited edition final-year Vipers.

There are some reports floating around the internet which suggest that the 2017 Ram 1500 will feature the supercharged 6.2L Hemi V8 and while the idea of a 707hp pickup is an alluring one – these reports of such a vehicle coming for the 2017 model year are completely unfounded nonsense made up by clickbait sites.

The sales numbers for June 2016 are still rolling in but we already know that the Ford Mustang led the way in the muscle car segment for the 20th consecutive month, as the Chevrolet Camaro continued its sales slide – dropping under 5,000 units for the first time since late in 2014 and trailing the Dodge Challenger for the 2nd month in a row.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat can now be purchased with a right hand drive configuration, but those Mopar lovers who want to drive the supercharged monster Down Under wont be going to their local dealership – instead turning to a Melbourne-based importing company to acquire the car and convert it to right drive.

Ron Capps and his Don Schumacher Racing Dodge Charger R/T funny car kept the momentum rolling this past weekend in Ohio as Capps beat Courtney Force for his 4th win of the season and his 3rd win in the past four races.

There hasn’t been any official information offered up for the 2017 Dodge Challenger just yet, but insider information from the folks at Hellcat.org suggests that this new model year will be getting a handful of new colors, a new infotainment interface and a new “special edition” trimline.
