While speaking recently with a Chrysler Group representative about the 2015 Dodge Challenger, he offered me an interesting warning to convey to my readers – if you want a 2015 Challenger Sublime Green, you had better get one as soon as you can.

The exterior design of the 2015 Dodge Challenger was inspired by the 1971 Dodge Challenger so while testing the 2015 Challenger Scat Pack recently, I had a chance to shoot some pictures with the new Mopar muscle car next to the 1971 model that served as the inspiration for design – showing the similarities and differences of the two muscle cars in the clearest fashion possible.

Across the many comments I have seen posted online pertaining to the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, there are a select few who ramble on about how the 707hp Mopar muscle cars cannot use the power and having driven both of the Hellcat cars on a track – I can assure you that making comments like that only make you sound like a fool.

I recently had time to spend a week driving the 2014 Dodge Dart GT and while I was impressed by many aspects of the sporty, high tech compact sedan – I learned very quickly why the 2.4L TigerShark engine has become the common engine across many 2015 trimlines.

Over the past three weeks we have talked at length about the pricing of the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, but we really haven’t looked at the pricing of the rest of the Charger lineup – until today.

While the new Hellcat Hemi makes the 2015 Dodge Charger the world’s most powerful sedan and the 2015 Dodge Challenger the world’s 6th most powerful sports car, the Hellcat project was suspended for some time with the possibility never starting back up – but persistent members of the SRT team made sure that this supercharged beast did become a production reality.

After hearing a rumor on the internet that over 5,000 examples of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat I checked with the folks at the Chrysler Group and they have confirmed that more than 5,000 orders have indeed been received for the 707hp Mopar muscle car.

Among what is likely to be more than a few 2015 Dodge Challenger show cars at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas will be the customized Mopar muscle car shown above, which features unique body work, a striking paint job, more than a few performance modifications and – best of all – the name Rapture.

The very first 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat built for public sale was auctioned off for charity and as the Chrysler Group was building that deep metallic red muscle car, they filmed the process and made a cool video showing the most powerful muscle car ever come to life in a minute and thirty five seconds.

I recently had a chance to spend a day driving the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat on roads around Washington DC as well as on a road course in West Virginia and this seat time confirmed that not only is the Hellcat Charger the most powerful and the fastest stock 4-door sedan in the world – it is dollar for dollar the best sport sedan in the world.

The Chrysler Group had suspended production of the Dodge Viper a few months back when inventory levels were reaching extremely high levels, but the new pricing schedule has improved sales enough that the company will begin production of the 2015 Viper in November – although only the less expensive models will be built at first.

Last week, I had a chance to travel to Summit Point Raceway in West Virginia to test the incredible 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat and while my drive impressions for the world’s most powerful, the world’s quickest and the world’s fastest 4-door sedan will be available later this week – today I bring you a quick video of the testing at the race track.

The 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat pricing has been announced and starting at just $63,995 including the $1,700 gas guzzler tax, the supercharged 4-door muscle car is substantially less expensive than any of the other cars on the list of the world’s most powerful sedans… while also being the most powerful car on that list.

Among the many high performance cars being unveiled at next month’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas will be the new Dodge Viper ACR Concept and while we don’t know anything about this new Viper ACR - it could lead to one of the best performing production cars in the world.

The Chrysler Group has rolled out their first group of teaser images ahead of the 2014 SEMA Show and among those images is the new Dodge Challenger TA Concept - a concept that could lead to the next performance trimline for the brawny Mopar muscle car.

File this story under “U” for Unbelievable as less than an hour after I published my piece about the Dodge Viper winning the driver and team championship for the 2014 IMSA United SportsCar Championship series – the Chrysler Group has announced that they will discontinue the factory backed Viper racing program immediately.

The Dodge Viper and the Chevrolet Corvette went head to head this past weekend to decide the champion for the 2014 IMSA United SportsCar Championship in the GTLM class and when the 10 hour race at Road Atlanta came to an end – Team Viper had claimed their 6th podium spot in the last 7 races to win both the team and driver’s title.

Even though the new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray had a slow month while both the Porsche brand and the Dodge Viper had strong months, the GM sports car still outsold its closest competitors in the US market by a massive margin – even if you combine the sales numbers of the Porsche cars and the Viper.
