Ford announced back in January that the company would introduce a new 2.7L EcoBoost V6 for the 2015 F150 which caused many skeptics to question whether it would be “enough motor” for the bestselling truck in America, but with the formal announcement of the power figures for the next generation F150 – those skeptics will need to find a new point to critique.

Yesterday afternoon there were a handful of reports that customer vehicle production of the 2015 Ford Mustang fastback would begin on Monday, July 14th – which created some obvious excitement as buyers have been lining up for months – but Ford Motor Company reps have argued that production of the S550 is not slated for the coming week.

Last week we brought you the first look at the 2015 Ford Mustang that has already been redesigned by the folks at Saleen, but after seeing the 2015 Saleen S302 Mustang, critics all over the internet are crying foul because they believe that this aftermarket package makes the next generation Mustang look too much like the current Chevrolet Camaro.

As all of the automakers work to come up with the most fuel efficient vehicles possible, the 2015 Ford F150 could call upon the new 2.3L EcoBoost 4-cylinder that will power the 2015 Ford Mustang to create a Super Fuel Economy model that would offer far less trucking capabilities and far better fuel economy – essentially battling the fuel economy of the midsized truck market with an F150.

The latest “Most American Vehicles” list has been issued by Cars.com and not surprisingly, the Ford F150 is the most American of the vehicles sold in the USA while the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Viper join the bestselling truck on a list of ten that includes seven vehicles from Japanese automakers.

While Ford Motor Company has only promised that the 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost would offer at least 305 horsepower and at least 300lkb-ft of torque, a new report quoting an unnamed inside suggests that the turbocharged S550 Mustang will offer 350 horsepower – which would make it a far more formidable foe in the horsepower war than we first had expected.

Ford Motor Company has issued a recall for a select group of 2014 F150 pickups over a concern that there could be a manufacturing problem with the Electronic Power Assist Steering system – a problem that is severe enough that the company has instructed owners to avoid driving their trucks until the problem is fixed.

While we know for sure that the 2015 Ford F150 will feature a variety of weight saving aluminum body components including the rear cargo box, there has been some speculation as to whether the heavier duty F250 and F350 will feature similar aluminum panels – but I don’t think that there is any reason why the next gen Super Duty pickups wouldn’t have the same construction as the upcoming F150.

The 2015 Ford Mustang will be equipped with the next generation Sync system which includes the new 911 Assist system that will help first responders know a great deal of information about the collision before they get there – but it will also essentially alert the police if you were driving at an excessively high rate of speed at the time of the accident.

There have been recent questions regarding engine options for the new S550 Ford Mustang. The largest among them has been whether or not there is room for a V6 EcoBoost model between the midrange inline 4-cylinder EcoBoost and the high-end naturally aspirated 5.0 Liter V8.

It is widely expected that the new 2.3L EcoBoost engine in the 2015 Ford Mustang will eventually replace the 3.7L V6 as the base model engine, there is still plenty of room in the Mustang lineup for a V6 engine – packing EcoBoost power and sitting in the middle of the engine lineup.
