Those small disc-shaped objects are the transducers attached to the non-show side of a miniature version of an autmotive headliner. And the small size of the transducer is what has automotive designers and integration engineers so excited. All that's needed now is to convince the sound engineers.
The module is the control box that houses the software that manages the sound. That's the patent arena.
