In recent years the fashion in pickup trucks has been the off-road. Ford F-150 leads the sales, but the GMC 2020 Sierra is its top archrival. The 2020 Sierra models is basically the same good-looking truck as its 2019 model. It's just a new trim from the 2019 model. It's got special off-road hardware. It's got a 2-inch lift on the suspension and it's designed to basically be like a Ford Raptor competitor. The question is, does it have what it takes to become a sales leader and take the crown from Ford F-150.

Many people are hung up on the fact that the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX will “only” go 118 miles per hour, but this relatively low top speed is due to the fact that off-road tires don’t have the high speed ratings of on-road tires and the automaker can’t offer a vehicle with a top speed that is higher than the speed rating of the tires.

There are aftermarket tuning companies and some dealerships that offer packages that increase the output of the Ford F-150 to more than 702 horsepower, but unlike the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX, those are not produced by the automaker and they are built on a per-unit basis, so they don’t meet the criteria for a production vehicle or a mass-produced vehicle.
