Texas is the largest truck market in the country, if not the world. Now, the 2021 Jeep Gladiator is showing the Lonestar State some Texas-sized love with the addition of the 2021 Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail version. Jeep is also adding two Texas Trails to its Jeep Badge of Honor program.
"The Jeep brand recognizes that Texas and America’s southwest are the center of the truck universe,” said Jim Morrison, Vice President Jeep Brand North America. “Special editions allow us to connect with our passionate customers, and the Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail further broadens the appeal of the most capable Jeep pickup yet.”
2021 Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail
The specially outfitted Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail version of the popular Gladiator is designed to be sold mainly in Texas. It comes with a special hood and is decorated with unique decals. The decals highlight 1836, the year of Texas’s Declaration of Independence. The Texas Trail version has 17-inch Black aluminum wheels with 32-inch mud-terrain tires. It also has the trailer towing package in case the driver is hauling ATVs or a boat. The 2021 Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail is available with either the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine, rated at 260 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque, or the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine, rated at 285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque.
New Jeep Badge of Honor Trails
Jeep found this the perfect time to announce that it is adding two Texas trails to its Jeep Badge of Honor Trail system. The two trails are the Black Gap 4x4 trail in Big Bend National Park and Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport, Texas. OHV signifies that it is a dirt road or trail designated for off-highway vehicles. Jeep did not indicate if or when the two trails might get electric vehicle charging stations.
Jeep recently announced that it is adding solar charging stations to its Badge of Honor trails to support the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and the future Jeep Magneto electric vehicle. Jeep has a Badge of Honor mobile app and gives Jeep owners unique trail badges for going off-roading on the Jeep sponsored trails.
Jeep Gladiator Texas Trail is available in ten different colors. It will be featured at dealers in the state of Texas and has a starting MSRP of $40,435 plus $1,495 destination charges.
