On a beautiful Sunday afternoon John Travolta parked his Mercedes-Benz 280SL on a residential block in Santa Monical, CA and walked to a Jaguar Dealership. It was only few blocks away. When he returned at about 3:45 PM, his vintage car was gone.
"It's a grand theft auto investigation for a crime that happened in a 10-minute window," said Santa Monica Police Sgt. Richard Lewis to LA Times. He also added that he does not want to speculate "because it's very early in the investigation."
As of this morning there is no news whether the investigators have found the car or if there are any suspects. Media reports that John took his keys with him when he walked to Jaguar dealership on Olympic Boulevard. It is not also known whether the the person or people followed Travolta or just took his Mercedes on the spot.
Travolta himself has not made any updates neither on his website nor on social media.
