As I was reading the comments under Mecedes-Benz Google+ page some people call them ugly while others say these are fantastic designs. "These s class bodies are ugly the ugliest I've seen ever what's going on Merc, where's the class in something that reminds me of a banana?" writes Demlar Hoeta. Other people commented saying they are either beautiful or fantastic. What do you think?
1st. Mercedes EQA Concept
This EQA or EQ concet is in compact cars. "The Mercedes-Benz Concept EQA demonstrates how the EQ strategy can be introduced to the compact class. Featuring one electric motor at the front axle and one at the rear, the electric athlete has a system output of over 200kW. The drive characteristics can be altered by varying the permanent all-wheel drive's front to rear torque distribution. The Concept EQA shows which program has been selected on a unique virtual radiator grille."
2nd. Mercedes-AMG Project ONE
It's based on a Formula 1 hybrid technology. "The Mercedes-AMG Project ONE will bring the very latest and efficient, fully-fledged Formula 1 hybrid technology from the race track to the road almost par for par to represent the highlight of AMG’s 50th anniversary. This high-performance hybrid is said to produce over 1,000 PS and reach top speeds beyond 350 km/h. The show car combines outstanding race track performance and day-to-day suitable Formula 1 hybrid technology with exemplary efficiency. This is a world first."
3rd. Smart Vision EQ fortwo
Smart Vision EQ fortwo is new vision of urban mobility and individualised, highly flexible, totally efficient local public transport. The smart vision EQ fortwo is a cool two-seater and, like all smart models, scores with a maximum of room in a minimum of space. It's an electric self driving vision.
4th. Mercedes GLC F-CELL Electric
Mercedes GLC F-Cell is an electric car too. It has a fuel-cell/battery powertrain. "The new Mercedes-Benz GLC F‑CELL is the next milestone on the road to emission-free driving. Under the technology designation EQ Power, the latest electric model (destined for subsequent series production) from the Mercedes-Benz family is doubly electrifying, for, in a world first, it is set to combine innovative fuel-cell and battery technology in the form of a plug-in hybrid: in addition to hydrogen, the all-electric variant of the popular SUV will also run on electricity. Intelligent interplay between battery and fuel cell, along with short refuelling times, will in future make the GLC F‑CELL a vehicle of high everyday practicality and also suitable for long-distance motoring. With 4.4 kg of hydrogen on board, the preproduction model produces enough energy for a range of up to 437 km in the NEDC. F-CELL drivers will also benefit from a range of up to 49 km in the NEDC thanks to the large lithium-ion battery. An output of 147 kW guarantees both dynamic performance and locally zero emissions driving pleasure."
5th. Smart Electric Drive
Mercedes says it plans to make electric mobility more attractive than ever. "The new smart electric drive makes opting into electric mobility more attractive than ever. This is because it combines the agility of the smart with local emission-free driving – the ideal combination for urban mobility. Fourth-generation electric driving pleasure can be experienced not only in the smart fortwo coupé and smart fortwo cabrio, but for the first time also in the four-seater smart forfour. In future smart will be the only car manufacturer worldwide to offer its model range with both combustion engines and pure battery-electric drive."
6th. Mercedes S-Class: Intelligent World Drive
The last vehicle Mercedes is bringing to CES in 2018 is S-Class: Intelligent World Drive. It's an autonomous driving car. "Pedestrian crossings on the motorway, separate speed limits for each lane, traffic signs with Chinese characters – traffic in China differs from that in Europe or the USA in many aspects. That is why China requires foreign motorists to have a Chinese driving licence. Automated and autonomous vehicles also have to prove their fitness for this market in advance. Mercedes-Benz started the 'Intelligent World Drive' at the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) in September to adapt more highly automated driving functions to national user and traffic practices."
