The 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo is very much the same as the 2012 model year lineup with the LP550-2 Coupe, the LP550-2 Spyder, the LP570-4 Superleggera and LP570-4 Spyder Performante being pretty much identical to the outgoing model shy of a few new exterior color options. The majority of 2013 Gallardo models (excluding the new Edizione Tecnica package) can also be heavily personalized as a part of the Lamborghini Ad Personam program – bringing a touch of bespoke design to these angular supercars with a near endless array of changes that can be ordered for a price.
The biggest change to the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo lineup comes to the mid-level LP560-4 models which receive a unique “triangle and trapezoid” design applied to the front and rear of the vehicle to give them a very different look than the other 2013 Gallardo models. Available as either a coupe or a convertible (Spyder), the 2013 Gallardo LP560-4 features a more aggressive front fascia with new angled openings found directly below the headlight along with larger air intakes located ahead of the front wheels. The new triangular openings are mimicked out back with new angles added below the taillights to help the LP560-4 stand out in a crowd…you know…a crowd of Lamborghini Gallardos. Finally, the 2013 Gallardo LP560-4 coupe and Spyder feature new 19” lightweight wheels with matte black painted pockets and bright polished spoke faces. Sadly, the lightweight Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Trofeo Stradale is no longer available but designed to satiate those Lambo buyers who want something a little extra special, the Italian automaker has introduced the 2013 Edizione Tecnica package – available for the LP570-4 Superleggera or the LP570-4 Spyder Performante. This package adds the unique E-gear system that allows the driver to lift the nose of the car to clear high bumps on the driving surface, a high rising rear spoiler and carbon ceramic brakes. This new package is available in three exclusive color combinations with a dominate color covering the majority of the vehicle while a sharply contrasting second color is found on the roof pillars and on the front air ducts. Those color combinations include Nero Nemesis/Arancio Argos (matte black car with orange trim – shown above on the right), Arancio Argos/Nero Nemesis (orange car with matte black trim) and Bianco Canopus/Arancio Argos (matte white car with orange trim).
The 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo lineup joins the high end 2013 Aventador which receives a new start/stop system and cylinder deactivation system for improved efficiency along with new wheel options, new carbon fiber accessory packages and a retuned suspension system for improved handling.
