In this fourth chapter of the Titan Truckumentary series, Nissan talks about early durability testing in the new truck, explaining the type of testing done to a new-generation pickup like the Titan. Filmed at the Nissan durability facility in Arizona and their technical center in Detroit.
Viewers get a glimpse inside Nissan Technical Center North America (NTCNA) in Farmington HIlls, Michigan and into the desert environs of Nissan's Arizona Test Center (ATC) in Stanfied, Arizona to see engineers and technicians putting the forthcoming 2016 TITAN XD* through a number of coordinated real-world and simulated test scenarios.
Durability tests include repetetive road use over many miles, varied terrain driving on differing surfaces, environmental testing such as flooded roads and inclement weather. Tests also include hood and door open-close cycles simulating fifteen years of use. Dramatic footage shows the new Titan hitting curbs, large potholes, on-offroad bouncing, and more.
