The New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) has named the 2019 Honda Pilot the Best In Class Midsized SUV. The award was presented at NEMPA's annual awards ceremony held at the MIT Media Lab in Cambridge Massachusetts.
The Award was presented by NEMPA Vice President and Car and Driver Contributor, Clifford Atiyeh. Honda's Jessica Pawl was on hand to accept the award. Honda is no stranger to the NEMPA awards podium. In 2018 the Honda HR-V earned NEMPA's award for Best in Class CUV.
Honda Odyssey Safety
The Honda Pilot is a staple in New England and is one of the most popular family vehicles in the region. NEMPA tests every vehicle that is nominated for one of its awards. As a family vehicle, safety is paramount. The 2019 Honda Pilot is an Insurance Institute For Highway Safety Top Safety Pick, earning great scores on every one of the most difficult crash tests performed in America. Honda also makes active safety standard on every Pilot.
Honda Pilot Infotainment
In addition to its advanced safety suite, Honda also offers a simple to operate, yet sophisticated infotainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android auto are standard on all but the base trim of the Pilot. This pairing of smartphone systems isn't available on any Toyota SUV, even top trims.
Honda Pilot Practicality
With seating available for as many as eight passengers, the Pilot remains one of the most flexible, and practical large family vehicles available. Like the majority of Honda/Acura vehicles sold in the U.S.A., the Pilot is built in America.
