When the 2016 Mazda Miata was first imported to the United States, Torque News noticed a funny thing. They were pretty much all red! Why not? Who doesn't like a little red drop-top? Red is a great sports car color and the term "arrest-me-red" has been around as long as quick cars have been.

When the all-new 2017 Fiat 124 Spider arrived, being made by Mazda in its Hiroshima plant and sharing quite a bit of the Miata DNA, everyone wanted the 124 Spider to stand apart from the Miata as much as practical. One way it has is color.
Look at any press image, Fiat sales page image, or press fleet car and one thing is apparent; Fiat is painting the 124 Spider in colors other than red. The press cars I drove were white and black. The two cars at the Boston Auto Show Fiat brought were silver and black
The Facebook Fiat 124 Spider Fan Club is a very international group. Members from all over the world are active in the club, and Europe has quite a large representation. Philippe Snemmel decided to conduct a poll to see what the breakdown in colors has been so far and we are pleased to bring the results to you (see above image).
Red is still a popular color, with about a quarter of the total respondents opting for it. However, white and Bianco Perla Tri-White top red in combination. Black, Blue, Bronze, and Silver are also very popular.
What color would you choose?
