I’m a Veteran EV Tester and Reporter, and I Can Tell You These Are the Four Best EV Content Creators In America Today You Must Follow In 2025 If You Are Interested In EVs and Want To Be Well-Informed

Not every person likes all types of electric vehicle content. But, among the best in the business today are 4 standouts who I feel make high-quality content, provide insights you won’t get anywhere else, and most of all, create a large volume of EV news.

If you are looking for the best EV content you can find from American creators, these are the folks you need to follow in 2025. Combined, they cover all aspects of the market and provide real news, insightful, helpful opinions, and they can also be very entertaining.

Image of Out of Spec Reviews CEO Kyle ConnerKyle Conner - Out Of Spec Reviews
Kyle and I are colleagues and friends. When I need a deeper insight into a technical topic such as battery conditioning or charger curves, I reach out to Kyle, and he has never hesitated to provide me with what I need quickly and with an infectious enthusiasm. Kyle offers a high-energy presentation. He has a conversational style that I think most EV fans can relate to. Kyle is more than capable of going into the technical details on any subject related to EVs, but he will warn his fans before he does that.

My favorite way to enjoy Kyle's content is via YouTube. His Out of Spec Reviews page is the landing place for that content. His most recent video is a deep dive into the Chinese market. Kyle walks the walk. He went to China - without sponsorship - and was there for weeks, lived the electric life, and came back with the best summary of the state of the Chinese EV market ever created

Interestingly, Kyle claims that he is not an EV “Advocate.” He considers himself technology agnostic and owns some gas-powered vehicles in his large personal fleet. On the flip side of that, he also owns his very own DC fast charger. Admit it, you don't know a single other person who has one.

Kyle is a well-sponsored and successful content creator with a headquarters, professional staff, and a ton of vehicles on hand to drive and comment on. He is also among the most generous content creators I have ever known. When he heard I may be coming to his home state of Colorado, he offered to lend me his personal Tesla Model 3.

If you want EV content that is fascinating, wide-ranging, and very entertaining without it being “preachy,” Kyle is your guy.

Image of State of Charge content creator Tom Tom MoloughneyTom Moloughney - State of Charge
Tom is the senior person in this overview. I’ve followed him since he was a hobbyist in the field before he went into it full-time. Among the EV experts in America, none have a greater knowledge of home charging than Tom. He is also an expert on public charging.

Tom is a Senior Editor at Inside EVs, and also has his own State of Charge channels on social. His home charging products (EVSE) reviews are among the very best and most comprehensive you can find. Tom has a business background, and I think it shows in his professionalism. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being an EV advocate, Tom ranks around 8.5. He can move you toward EVs without making it seem forced

Image or EV content creator Andrew LambrechtAndrew Lambrecht - Clemson University (Lucid, Social Media)
Andrew is a graduating Industrial Engineering student at a respected university. His social media presence is solid. He isn’t messing around with EVs. His plan is to work for an EV manufacturer, and we hope someone is smart enough to offer him a lucrative position soon. He’s already had an impressive internship program at a top EV maker in America.

Andrew is an open and honest EV advocate and is unashamed of that, which we applaud. His social posts always trigger a reaction from myself and other regular readers of his content. With a solid background on the technical side of the EV world that few in our industry can match, Andrew has the potential to someday be a Mary Barra-type leader in the automotive world.

The vibe we feel from being a follower of Andrew’s work could be described as “We were into his stuff before anybody!” Look at what he produces for content and tell us you are not jealous. This gentleman is headed for great things, and we are enjoying seeing him become more and more adept at his craft day after day.

I could not close out this article without an unabashed plug of my boss for the past 13 years, Armen. He remains at the cutting edge of the EV industry and is a true believer in the technology. No publication with an EV focus has outlasted Torque News, and that is due to Armen’s dedication to keeping the site at the top of browser search results. Take a peek at the Torque News YouTube, X, and Facebook channels and you can see evidence of the hard and smart work Armen engages in. What separates Armen from many site owners, editors, and content creators is that he brings a level of respect for the reader that few in the industry can match.
