Ask any Tesla Cybertruck Owner What They Think About Their Truck, and "Tens of Thousands Will Tell You the Same Thing"

What do Tesla Cybertruck owners think about their controversial trucks? It's a question owners will answer, not what you think. Yes, there are a few negative comments, but the vast majority have a very different take on the new electric truck.

"Imagine believing the internet over thousands of Tesla Cybertruck owners."

Marcus Reno, who owns a 2024 Tesla Cybertruck, said that. I wrote a previous story about Marcus, which you can read here, where he says the negativity revolving around the controversial Cybertruck is fueling interest in Tesla

In his recent post on the Tesla Cybertruck Talk Facebook page, Marcus says,

"Imagine being the kind of person who thrives on negativity and fully believes the massive, coordinated efforts to discredit something—despite real-world facts and ownership proof constantly debunking it."

"You can ask any Cybertruck owner what they think about their truck, and tens of thousands will tell you the same thing." Here are three common things owners are saying:

  • It's amazing.
  • It's one of the best vehicles they've ever owned.
  • It's by far the best daily-driver truck ever produced.

Are All Cybertruck Owners Previous Tesla Owners?

No. Marcus says, "Most Cybertruck owners have owned multiple trucks and cars—Ford F-150s, Dodge Ram 1500s, Toyota Tundras, Ford Raptors, GMC Denalis, and everything in between. Yet somehow, we're supposed to ignore their firsthand experience and instead believe some guy on TikTok or Facebook who's never even sat in one?"

"Because Jim Bob or a political content creator watched a 30-second video packed with misleading, regurgitated negativity? They must know best, right? Just look at the effort to bad-mouth the Cybertruck from every angle."

There's Plenty of Fake News

"The sheer number of bots, trolls, and fake accounts constantly repeating the same false claims is nothing short of desperate. The goal? Keep people from wanting to know the truth," he says.

And Yet, All That Negativity is Backfiring

Marcus continues, "All of this negativity has actually driven more curiosity. People want to see for themselves. The more outrageous the hate, the more questions people have. And the reality becomes very clear once they take the time to see a Cybertruck, talk to an owner, or take a test drive. They've been misled. Badly."

"Now, let's be honest—the Cybertruck isn't for everyone. It's a high-tier truck; not every buyer needs or wants that. But you will start seeing them on every street when the lower-priced models drop, with over a million reservation holders still in line. And then, people will finally understand."

Kids Love the Cybertruck

I recently wrote a piece on the Cybertruck titled Tesla Cybertruck Owner Says, "I Picked My Kids Up at School, and a Group of Students Ran Up To Look Screaming CYBERTRUCK! I Was Expecting the Worst

What happened to Travis Stalkier surprised him because he was expecting a different outcome. I found his post on the Tesla Cybertruck Owner's Facebook page.

In Michigan, where he lives, it's been cold, and the students haven't been outside, but today was different.

As it begins to thaw out in the Midwest and the temperatures are warmer, the students were outside his kid's school when he picked them up, and when they saw the Cybertruck, it was a mad dash to take a look. What happened to him and his kids was a total shock.

Travis says,

"Yesterday was the first day all the students were outside when I picked up my six-year-old from school. We are in Michigan, and it's been too cold, but it's warming up now. At least 12 kids ran to the fence screaming, "CYBERTRUCK!" I was expecting the worst. They LOVED it."

"They wanted to know who's dad I was. They asked for a ride. They wanted to know every detail about what it looked like inside. How fast it goes. When did I get it? It was so cool."

That's just one of many Cybertruck stories.

Erdal Calgary purchased his Cybertruck on April 26, 2024, and his life has changed. He describes it as a "transformative experience." How many car owners can say that?

Erdal says,

"Since April 2024, driving my Cybertruck has been a transformative experience, reshaping my daily commute and outlook on life."

"The sleek, futuristic design and powerful performance have elevated my driving experience to new heights—each journey feels like a glimpse into the future."

Cybertruck owner Michael Foreman says, "I waited from day 1 and received the Foundation series about five months ago in Hawaii. Have been very impressed with its handling and ease of parking. Have been learning to trust the self-driving and parking."

"It's generally a much safer driver than me. I'm getting a bridge to be a backup power source for my house. I've not had negative experiences in maintenance or handling or from individuals. Kids and moms love it. I'm pleased I bought it."

Marcus says, Cybertruck Owners, Chime in!

He says, "Drop your experiences in the comment section below. Let's help those still trying to separate facts from the noise."

"And if you're still unsure, do some research. Start by searching my other articles and reading the comments from actual owners. Then, ask a few Cybertruck owners yourself. The truth is out there—you have to want to find it."

By the way, in light of Tesla's falling sales the company has a backup plan in China. Here is how Tesla plans to combat fierce competition in China, which you can watch in this video from the Torque News Youtube channel.

"Tens of Thousands of Cybertruck Owners"? Less than 39k Cybertrucks have EVER been sold, with 5 reported fire related fatalities - not casualties, but fatalities - making the ownership of the vehicle 7x more fatal than the Ford Pinto ever was. Since the Pinto is out of production, that statistical chance of dying in a rolling dumpster fire can only go up and become even deadlier.

Mix that in with a healthy dose of 3.8k recalls (10% of its production), design flaws that Tesla refuses to fix, and the growing number of new defects people continue to find as "general wear and tear" (read: side panels falling off, or door interiors detaching for the door itself, or the body rusting days after a car wash), the cybertruck is going to go down in history as manufactured automotive waste.

Excellent insight Roy: I suspect those boasting about and praising their Cybertrucks are desperate to shape consumer sentiment to the positive so they can sell the trucks at a preferred price before the whole line of these vehicles become damned after 5 years of production.

You’re just wrong. See the NHSTA tests. It’s the safest pickup ever tested. Oh yeah, and those “recalls”? Simply software updates. You’re living in the past and relying on a media that lies to you

I own two Cybertrucks. My wife hated it, until she took two road trips in it with me. The seat position eliminated her LE radiculopathy from a prior low back injury. Around Christmas of '24, I surprised her with a CT because it is the safest vehicle on the planet. She loves the handling, comfort, efficiency and acceleration:)

You are joking, right? The cyber truck is one of the least safe vehicles on the market. It is the most recalled vehicle, you are more likely to die in a fire in a CT than a Ford pinto. It's so unsafe it cannot be sold in most of the world.

You are the person this article is talking about. It is in fact the safest and highest rated safety for a truck. It is amazing to drive and most people love it. The few that don't are mostly ignorant and tend to cry about it to everyone that will listen.

It is not the safest nor is it the highest rated. It has shown that the Cybertruck is held together with plastic clips and is so fragile that it is simply unsuitable as a work truck — so much for Musk’s “indestructible” claims. There have been fatalities contributed to it's supposed abilities.

Wrong
For 2024, the safest pickup truck on American roads, according to the IIHS, is the Rivian R1T which earned a "Top Safety Pick+" rating, followed by the Toyota Tundra which earned a "Top Safety Pick".
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Rivian R1T:
This all-electric pickup truck received the IIHS's prestigious "Top Safety Pick+" designation for 2024, indicating exceptional safety performance.
It earned "Good" scores in all crashworthiness areas evaluated by the IIHS.
It has a robust driver assist and active safety suite called "Driver+".
Toyota Tundra:
While the Tundra is the only full-size pickup to earn a "Top Safety Pick" for 2024, its crash test ratings are good, but not as comprehensive as the R1T's.
Other trucks with good safety ratings:
Ram 1500: Earns good ratings in the IIHS's updated side crash test.
Ford F-150: Also earns good ratings in the IIHS's updated side crash test.
Chevrolet Silverado 1500: Earns an acceptable rating in the IIHS's updated side crash test.

The recalls are not just software either:

The Tesla Cybertruck has faced multiple safety recalls, including issues with the accelerator pedal, windshield wiper motor controller, drive inverters, and rearview camera.

And they haven't been on the road that long. Most of the initial run are do plagued with safety and performance issues they are sitting in a lot.

You are allowed to love your CT, but doesn't erase facts.

omg.. are u saying the CT is the safest because u think it is? Just curious what scientific testing data that your choosing to go by? Hope if your wife's catches on fire that the fire department has the new chemica to put out that battery fire because water and foam won't save her.. RIP

I am absolutely dying laughing at the idea that a cyber truck "cured" someone's sciatica. That's actually even funnier than the idea that that death trap is the safest car on the road.

I don't believe everything I see on the Internet, but I also refuse to buy anything from people I don't trust, and from people who disgust me. There was once a time when I was very interested in purchasing one of these controversial vehicles, but a certain person associated with them, and his ridiculous behavior, completely changed my mind.

The Cybertruck is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned or driven. It’s amazing to drive with the drive wire and four wheel steering. It’s hard to explain how pleasant it is to drive. In addition, it’s incredibly comfortable and spacious inside and with the added advantage of having a truck bed that is fully secured with the cover. All in all an amazing vehicle.
I suppose if you don’t like the idea of free speech, and if you are adverse to cutting out the fraud and waste in the government, then the actions Elon Musk has taken as a public servant might be disturbing to you. To the rest of us it’s heroic what he has done, and even if you don’t like him, you are missing out on the greatest vehicle on the road today.

No surprise that the only people mentioned in the article who actually like that ugly piece of junk were children.
