A Tesla Cybertruck Owner Says He Traded His Cadillac Escalade for a Cybertruck & Now His Monthly Payment is Almost Cut in Half – Several Cybertruck Owners Also Share They Came from an Escalade

Several Cybertruck owners are sharing that they traded a Cadillac Escalade to get a Cybertruck. There appear to be a surprising number of cross-shoppers between the two brands.

Greek OG is a Cybertruck owner from California and says he has no regrets after trading in his Cadillac Escalade for a 2025 Tesla Cybertruck.

Greek was already highly impressed with his Cadillac, but he could not turn back once he test-drove a Cybertruck.

Now, he has sold his Escalade to Carvana, and the Cybertruck is parked in his driveway.

The happy Cybertruck owner shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Only group on Facebook.

Here is what he wrote…

“I thought nothing could beat my 2023 Cadillac Escalade until I drove a Cybertruck.

Yesterday, I bought a 2025 Cybertruck AWD, and my Cadillac is on a Carvana flatbed truck somewhere on the interstate.

I have zero regerts! (Yes, regerts) My Cybertruck was almost half the price, and I’m saving about $1,500 dollars a month with the switch.

The Cybertruck is going tomorrow to get a wrap and tint. I can’t wait to add my personal touch to it… I’m the happy owner of a spaceship.”

Below his post, Greek included a picture of both his Cybertruck and the now-sold Cadillac Escalade.

What’s interesting here is that Greek is now saving $1,500 in car payments by switching to a Cybertruck from an Escalade.

Tesla vehicles have long been seen as expensive, yet over the years, the company has reduced vehicle prices.

Even with the Cybertruck, the dual-motor variant starts at $79,900. However, the vehicle qualifies for the $7,500 federal EV tax incentive.

In addition, Tesla offers a $1000 discount for anyone using a referral code. Thus, you can buy a brand-new Cybertruck for as little as $71,500.

In contrast, Greek says his Cadillac Escalade cost $115,000. This is a $43,500 difference; however, when you add taxes and fees, the out-the-door price difference is closer to $50,000.

This still doesn’t make the Escalade twice as expensive as a Cybertruck, but it’s getting close.

Greek reports saving $1,500 a month on his car payment and appears pleased with the change. Interestingly, several other Cybertruck owners have noted that they also traded in their Cadillac Escalade for a Cybertruck.

Given that one is a truck and one an SUV, you might not necessarily think there are many crossover buyers between the two vehicles. However, it seems like many Escalade buyers are also interested in the Cybertruck.

Fellow Cybertruck owner Nick Maestri says he, too, has made the switch from an Escalade to a Cybertruck and is happy with the decision.

Nick writes…

“I also went from a Cadillac Escalade to a Cybertruck! Best move ever!”

Another Cybertruck owner, Ali from Memphis, Tennessee, reveals that he has also switched from an Escalade to a Cybertruck.

Ali writes…

“Man..... I traded in my 2023 Cadillac Escalade for the Cybertruck also... No regrets!”

Overall, it’s interesting to see Cadillac Escalade owners switching to a Cybertruck. Please let me know what you think in the comments. Share your ideas by clicking the “Add new comment” button below. Also, visit our site, torquenews.com/Tesla, regularly for the latest updates.

These people are just lying or as least being hyperbolic for effect. The math doesn't' add up nor does their story.

"saving about $1,500..."
How do you save $1,500 a month going from a $115,000 car to an $80k? And the monthly savings implies he was in fact still paying on the Escalade. So unless he somehow purchased the Tesla outright, this level of savings only works if he had a massive loan with a high interest rate.

Funny, I was at a Cadillac dealership today (not a normal choice for me) looking at their Lyriq and there were a large number of Tesla model 3s that had been traded in for the Lyriq per the salesman. Maybe true, maybe not but there wer a lot of them on the lot. Lyriq was meh btw but no way I'm supporting anything musk at this point.

lol at people making payments on Escalades or Cyber trucks.
So far from what “normal” people are doing, it matters not.

Good for you, if you like driving a " Door Stop". Besides how do you trust a guy who holds citizenship in 3 different countries. The things are falling apart, most expensive stainless garbage cans in history. They are good for starting fires if you need to stay warm I have to admit. Buy a Rivian
