A Tesla Cybertruck Owner Says He Was Rear-Ended Three Times in 120 Days – Adds, “I Was Driving to a Tesla Collision Center for the 2nd Accident When I Got Rear-Ended a Third Time”

A Cybertruck owner shares that he was just rear-ended by a Chevy Colorado, making it the third time he has been rear-ended in 120 days. He adds that he was driving to a Tesla collision center to have his truck repaired from the previous incident.

Robert is a Cybertruck owner from Palm Beach, Florida, and says he was just rear-ended for the third time in only 120 days.

This is bad enough; however, Robert adds that his latest accident occurred while he was driving to a Tesla collision center to have his truck repaired from the previous accident.

Robert, taken aback by the multiple accidents, shared his story on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum.

He writes…

“Cybertruck vs. Chevy Colorado Pickup Impact

Yesterday afternoon marked the third time I was rear-ended while completely stopped at a red light or because of local traffic (this third incident was due to local traffic).”

At this point, you might be wondering if this has anything to do with the ongoing anti-Tesla protest and Cybertruck hate.

However, Robert states that all three individuals who rear-ended his Cybertruck were very cooperative, and he didn’t experience any negative interactions.

He continues to write…

“All three drivers were at fault and highly cooperative so far.”

Cybertruck hate or not, it’s still unpleasant to get rear-ended for a third time. Ironically, Robert mentions that this latest accident happened while he was on his way to a Tesla collision center.

He writes…

“I was driving to my appointment at Tesla Collision to replace the bumper from my second accident yesterday, March 21, 2025, when, while in traffic, the guy behind me hit the gas pedal while leaning over to grab something from his front passenger seat.

I need a new bumper (again) and maybe a tailgate, even though mine was covered in PPF. It is too early to tell if Tesla wants to replace the tailgate.”

Getting rear-ended on the way to get his rear bumper replaced is not ideal; however, it’s better that he was rear-ended before having it replaced rather than after.

Having said that, Robert is aware of the frequency of the accidents and says he might need to put some sort of bright warning on the rear of his Cybertruck to prevent a fourth accident.

He writes…

“After the repair is complete, I will unfortunately have to wrap the tailgate panel with some type of warning pattern, similar to what fire trucks and fire rescue vehicles use. It's a reflective red, yellow-green 45-degree arrowhead-like pattern.”

Finally, Robert concludes his post writing…

“Three impacts in only 120 days is too many for me.”

Below his post, Robert also included a video of the third accident. The video shows a silver Chevy Colorado driving straight into the rear of Robert’s Cybertruck.

Robert also included a picture of the Chevy Colorado stopped in the middle of the highway behind his Cybertruck.

Overall, looking at all the accidents, it’s surprising to see how many times Robert was rear-ended in just 120 days. However, please let me know what you think in the comments.
