Jay Leno on the New Tesla Model 3

Jay Leno was seen driving in a new Tesla Model 3 calling the vehicle almost as fast as his Tesla Model S Plaid, but only costing 1/3 of it. Jay Leno bought his Model S Plaid for about $130,000 and the new Model 3 Long Range is about $47,000 now.

It's no secret that Tesla has been lowering prices on its vehicles and the fact that a new Tesla Model 3 is about 1/3 the cost of an original Tesla Model S Plaid, with much of the functionality and close to the performance shows just how fast EVs are progressing

Continued Increases in Performance and Lower Prices

I would expect to see the prices of EVs from Tesla continue to decline to the point that it would almost be ridiculous not to buy one. I also expect to see the performance and technical specs increase while the prices go down over time.

It doesn't mean that this will happen overnight. Tesla may raise prices temporarily as demand increases, but over time, an EV should be MUCH cheaper than a gas car and MUCH more performant and feature-rich.

Seeing Jay Leno talk highly of the new Model 3 is nice to hear, however, even if he had nothing to say about it, Tesla's vehicles are state-of-the-art in both performance, features, and most importantly, PRICE.
