Cybertruck Orders
According to Matthew Donegan-Ryan, who has been a reliable source in the past on X, he has stated two things within the last four hours:
RUMOR: I've heard Tesla is receiving close to 10,000 Cybertruck orders per day since the delivery event.
He also said about an hour ago:
2 employees have told me this is accurate
That is an extraordinary amount of orders. If you take about 26 days since the delivery event, I'm guessing that's roughly 250,000 new orders that have come in. Since barely 500 Cybertrucks have been delivered, I'm willing to bet that the existing backlog is now over 2 million at 2,250,000.

This is for NEW orders of the Cybertruck - not existing orders that are in the very large 2 million order backlog.
The Cybertruck is going to be sold out for a number of years to come. One thing that is good though is that I think Tesla is sandbagging Cybertruck production and will ramp up quickly to meet this massive customer demand.

How Long Now Will It Take To Get Your Cybertruck Order?
First off, it's always good to treat anything like this with a little skepticism. However, we have seen multiple celebrities and videos of the Cybertruck generating tens of millions of views. I bet that most of the U.S. has seen and wants a Cybertruck.
Even though no Tesla employee has come forward to verify that nearly 10,000 Cybertruck orders are happening every day since the delivery event, I'm inclined to believe this information just from the massive amount of exposure the Cybertruck is getting.

What does that mean for you when you want to see when you will get your Cybertruck order? If you already preordered, I think getting it in 2027 or before is a sure thing. If you are ordering now, I'm not so sure.
With so many orders coming in, it makes me wonder how long Tesla will get this many orders - will it be for a few months or the next year? If the next year, Tesla is going to have a major problem on its hands and should get "all hands on deck" to ramp production - just like they did for the Model 3.
Tesla took a big risk with the Cybertruck, and it appears to be paying off.
Since reporting on this, it looks like Matthew has taken down this Tweet calling out 2 Tesla employees specifically and that could be for any number of reasons - from Tesla employees worried about leaked information from within, or anything else. I'll be sure to update as I find more.
