Tesla Leaks New Epic Features To Be Released Soon - Includes Upgraded Model 3 Performance Tri-Motor "Plaid"

Tesla has leaked new epic features to be released soon. These are fixes for current issues as well as new issues.

Tesla New Epic Features To Be Released

There are a number of epic features that Tesla is going to release for the future and here they are.

Steering Yoke Update

The first is an update to the steering yoke. Tesla just started deliveries of this improvement. The yoke started in 2021 with the refresh Model X and Model S and was mandatory at the time.

However, customers criticized this and Tesla brought back the steering wheel.

The original yoke design has the horn using a side button for the thumb. This was supposed to be faster in theory, but it caused problems for most drivers. Hitting the horn in the center is a "staple" for drivers. You need to be able to hit the horn without a second thought.

This is especially difficult if the wheel is turned.

The new yoke has the horn in the center and a better build quality with new stitching. It's available as an upgrade for $1,000 from Tesla.

Tesla Auto Wipers

Tesla's auto wipers have long been a source of frustration for drivers, especially for those using Autopilot and FSD where they are not working as they should - or not clearing the ran/snow enough. They have also come on when they shouldn't, causing an annoyance.

These issues have lasted for years. On Autopilot or FSD, auto wipers are enabled. A Tesla engineer on X has said that improvements to this should come out soon.

The Tesla Refresh Model 3 Performance

The Tesla Model 3 performance has yet to be released in 2024. The new model appears to be "plaid" or "ludicrous" making it a significant upgraded, according to the parts catalog from Tesla.

Multiple sources have said this new release will be pretty special.

Martin Viecha, Tesla's head of investor relations has said that this car is coming out via a Tweet, recommending someone get it when it comes out.

And, another source, ThinkerCar on X, has said:

The new #Tesla Model 3 Performance is expected to launch in China in Q2, priced at around RMB 400K. It'll be mass-produced at Shanghai Gigafactory by end of March and hit the market for sale. Rumors suggest Model 3 Performance will feature tri-motor powertain system.

Tesla doesn't want to hurt sales of the Model S Plaid, but that will happen with this new Model 3 Performance release.

There are interior upgrades for the performance model 3 showing a match to the Model S Plaid seats.

In addition, a car charging at a Tesla service center said, "Engineering Vehicle." This also had a new front bumper and new front seats.

The seats are updated sport seats. The rear of the car is covered, likely with changes that Tesla doesn't want to show right now.

I have been driving a Model 3 , and drove 3k miles last summer from Florida to Ohio and Maryland. Had absolutely no problem all the way back to my home in Boynton. All supercharger functioned perfectly. Driving a Tesla is a dream. (I will be 90 in July).
