Reuters reports that Bentley and Lamborghini will be no-shows at the show next week. This is mainly due to their parent company, Volkswagen trying to save every last cent to face the neverending story known as the diesel emission scandal.
Bentley said yesterday that it is skipping the show to focus on smaller events to directly market to their buyers. Lamborghini said it was revising their strategy on which shows it should attend.
Auto shows cost a lot of money for automakers as try to outdo others with grand exhibits and press introductions that are choreographed like a concert.
Bentley and Lamborghini are only the latest that will not be appearing in Paris. Aston Martin, Ford, and Volvo announced earlier this month they will not be showing up.
