What an incredible way to make an entrance. Cadillac is debuting its new 2025 CT5-V Blackwing to the public at the Rolex 24 Hour race at Daytona this weekend. The high-performance Cadillac is serving as the official safety car taking laps out on the race track. Cadillac unveiled the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing this week. The Blackwing has a 6.2L Supercharged V-8 with 668 horsepower and 659 lb.-ft. of torque. Ever the classy competitor, the Cadillac is sporting decals supporting the Detroit Lions in their playoff game this weekend. The Detroit Lions are owned by members of the Ford family.
"Cadillac sedans continue to drive positive brand momentum, year-over-year," said John Roth, vice president, global Cadillac. "Last year, our sedans experienced their best sales since 2018 and CT5 is Cadillac's best-selling vehicle, globally. As V-Series celebrates a record year, the importance of this option for those customers who value performance and power cannot be overstated."
Both Cadillac and Chevrolet Corvette vehicles are competing in races this weekend at Daytona.
2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing
The V-Series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The V-Series was created to be the ultimate expression of Cadillac design, performance and technology. The vehicles are designed to exude the passion that exists at the core of the Cadillac brand. My husband had one of the first versions, the STS-V, and loved every second of driving it. The horsepower now is much higher than it was back then.
For 2025, the sedans have a revised front fascia, that further differentiates the CT5-V and the CT5-V Blackwing. The interiors feature aggressive lines focusing on quality, details, high-end materials and impeccable craftsmanship.

- The 2025 CT5-V Blackwing has a bolder look with a redesigned performance front-end, delivering the ultra-high-performance CT5-V Blackwing is known for.
- Three new colors: Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, Typhoon Metallic.
- Lit Cadillac Crest on the back of the 33-inch-diagonal LED display, which welcomes the driver as they approach.
- Carbon Fiber Packages, including an updated Carbon Fiber Package with splitter
New to the 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing is the 33-inch-diagonal LED color touchscreen display. Drivers can also opt for an available enhanced in-vehicle Performance Data Recorder, created with input from racing-obsessed GM engineers and designers. The Performance Data Recorder is accessed directly from the display. It has a Lap Analyzer tool, which provides powerful data analysis functions that were previously only possible in laptop programs. It also has a new performance analysis feature to help drivers maximize their on-track performance.
2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing Coming Soon
The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing will be produced at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly facility in Michigan. Production is scheduled to begin in the summer 2024. Additional details and pricing will be announced in the future.
