Dodge Debuts 2024 Charger Daytona EV at Roadkill Nights Event

The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV made its public debut at the Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge, yesterday, at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, Michigan. Pictures posted to social media by Stellantis public relations person, Dianna Gutierrez, showed the next generation muscle car. The Roadkill Nights event invites race fans to watch amateurs and professionals take to the track to show off their vehicles. Roadkill Nights started as part of the Woodward Dream Cruise event in metro Detroit but has become its own huge draw.

2024 Dodge Charger Daytona EV

The Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger have been legendary muscle cars going back to the 1960’s. The next-generation Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack will keep the reputation alive. The new EV muscle car will deliver 670 horsepower and is expected to reach 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds. Electrified models also include the 496-horsepower Dodge Charger Daytona R/T. Dodge also debuted the sound of the Dodge Charger Daytona’s Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust system during an earlier media event. Dodge has created the special exhaust sound system because muscle cars are typically loud and EVs are not.

“The world’s first Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust brings the raw rumble of iconic Dodge muscle to the next-generation, all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge brand CEO – Stellantis. "We know our Dodge enthusiasts want that visceral feel you get when you drive a Dodge muscle car, and the Charger’s new Fratzonic system delivers the adrenaline-pumping spirit that they expect. It reacts to specific inputs and driving events, giving the driver a direct connection to their new Charger. Simply put, when you hear it and feel it, you will know it’s a Dodge Charger Daytona.”

The Fratzonic name is inspired by the Dodge’s brand’s historic Fratzog logo, the new symbol of Dodge brand next-generation vehicles and prominently featured on the all-new Dodge Charger. Dodge will produce several versions of the Charger Daytona EV. The production will start with two-door EVs, including a Scat Pack souped-up muscle car. All of the EV models should qualify for the federal 7,500 tax credit.

2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T

Last week, Dodge said the all-new 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T will feature the Direct Connection Stage 1 Upgrade straight from the factory. It will have a total of 496 horsepower and 404 lb.-ft. of torque. The R/T models will have a sport suspension and start at a MSRP of $59,595 plus $1,995 destination fees.

2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack

The more powerful and faster version will be the all-new 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack model. The Scat Pack will come standard with the Direct Connection Stage 2 Upgrade straight from the factory. It will have 670 horsepower and 627 lb.-ft. of torque. The Scat Pack will also come outfitted with the Stage 2 and Track Package. The Scat Pack will do 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds while running the quarter-mile in an estimated 11.5 seconds. This will keep Dodge’s reputation as producing the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack will start with a MSRP of $73,190.

• Two-door coupe versions of Charger Daytona R/T and Charger Daytona Scat Pack will begin production in summer 2024
• Production of four-door Daytona models will begin first half of 2025
• Eventually, the Dodge Charger will also offer more performance choices with gas-powered models. The 550-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. will feature the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane High Output engine.
• Gas-powered two-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. and four-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. models scheduled to begin production in the second half of 2025.

The next generation of Dodge muscle cars has arrived, and they are flat out the best muscle cars ever made.”
