This announcement is pursuant to the addition of the Prius v and Plug-in last year, bringing the Prius family of vehicles up to the first four of the intended seven.
The Prius v is the roomier, wagon version of the familiar hatchback, while the Prius Plug-in adds an enhanced purely electric range to the mileage leading hybrid drive system.
The Prius c is a version still smaller than the Prius hatchback expected take hybrid efficiency to a new level, maximizing the potential of the current drive system.
It will be interesting to see whether the Prius plug-in or Prius c will provide the most efficient use of resources and a possible portent of the direction of things to come.
Little is known at this point about the NS4, but considering the new direction Lexus is taking, the return of the sports car to the Toyota line in the GT 86 (the Scion FR-S in the U.S.), it’s likely to be something on the cutting edge of tomorrow.
