We knew they were going to be popular. The 2020 Toyota 4Runners. Allow me to paint a picture detailing an Army Green timeline.
When Toyota TRD Pro models were announced for the 2020 model year with a new Army Green exclusive color, excitement to see what they would look like was electric immediately. Exciting.
Then came news that not only would 2020 Tundra, 2020 Tacoma and 2020 4Runner be offering this color in their TRD Pros, but a brand new 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro was coming as well. Incredible.
Initial shipments of individual 2020 4Runners have reached various dealerships within the last week. This is great news. I was fortunate enough to get to see one of the first ever 2020 4Runner TRD Pro trucks in Army Green. Spoiler alert – it looks amazing.
I made a video a few days ago for my Toyotajeff YouTube channel comparing the 2020 TRD Pro versus the 2019 model, and that was when I realized just how popular these new 4Runners are going to be.
2020 4Runner is finally here
Within the last couple days, I have received at least 20 calls, emails and texts from excited shoppers looking to find a 2020 4Runner TRD Pro in Army Green. And it is not just local people living in my state of North Carolina. They contacted me from Indiana and Texas and New York and California and even from Hawaii.
Just listen to what one nervous 4Runner fan in Ohio wrote me. “I put down a deposit at my dealer in July for the Army Green 4Runner. Now they are saying they don’t know when they will get one in. What should I do?”
Everyone is scrambling to find one. And for the most part, except for a small handful that have just landed, the 2020 4Runners have not even begun arriving yet.
Army Green is creating a big buzz
The air is abuzz with talk of Army Green. And not just for the 2020 4Runner. Remember, there are 4 Toyota models releasing this fall with this unique color. And Toyota fans and enthusiasts across the country cannot wait, as I found out from my Torque News readers and YouTube channel viewers.
Jorge is definitely impressed. “That Army Green is an amazing choice for the TRD Pro!”
Vester was excited as well. “Gimme that Army Green all day long! Best color, ever!”
“Army Green looks mad Tuff.” Commented Vpattt.
I feel Peter summed things up nicely. “As an Army veteran I love the new green color. I'm looking to switch from my 2009 4Runner to a Tundra. I can't wait to see your review of the TRD Pro Tundra in Army Green!
Trust me Peter and everyone else. It will be coming.

What makes 2020 4Runner so coveted?
This is not a full redesign year for the 2020 4Runner. However, Toyota chose to add several new safety, technology and styling upgrades that make this new model year an incredibly hot ticket.
Toyota Safety Sense (TSS-P) active safety features are now standard across the board on all 4Runners. This is a key improvement, as it will help reduce the chance for front and side collisions. TSS-P will also help drivers at night with automatic high beams.
Look for standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as 8” touch screens and a redesigned, modern multimedia display. Throw in 2 standard rear seat USB ports and you have an impressive set of technological upgrades in the 2020 4Runner.
You will also find Smart Key push button start on the SR5 Premium, TRD Off-Road Premium and TRD Pro trim levels.
Time for your thoughts on 2020 4Runner
The best way to ensure you get your Army Green TRD Pro 4Runner is to act sooner than later if you are sure you want one. Get a deal worked out with your dealership of choice. You will more than likely be asked to leave a deposit to secure it in your name. Expect a wait time anywhere from a few weeks to several months.
With all the hype surrounding the Army Green 2020 4Runner, what do you think? Are you interested in seeing this Army Green color in person? Do you think you will be in the market for a new 4Runner in the near future, or is it another Army Green Toyota you have your eye on?

I love the 2020 Army colored 4Runner, but I am one that can wait. Being patient will help with supply and demand. I would be over paying for one if I wanted it know. People always want it know, I promise the wait is worth it.
By no means does my comment

By no means does my comment have anything to do with your dealership. I drive a 2007 Toyota 4Runner with a V6 and it gets better gas mileage, both City and Highway, than these two vehicles. That is the only disappointment I see with them. I don't really understand how with today's technology the gas mileage could be so poor. Do they need 93 octane? I think the 4Runners are the best SUV on the road, and the 2019 2020 4Runners look awesome, the price is even fair, but that fuel economy is just a real disappointment, and I have never ever been one to find a complaint with that. Otherwise, beautiful trucks. I am a 4Runner guy for life.

I like the color, but trying to pass off the technical changes and exciting to get people to breath hard for this 2020 model is silly. The 4Runner is still under powered.
