Toyota shocked us all with its midnight teaser release this morning.
It seems Land Cruiser is indeed back.
2024 Toyota Land Cruiser
The Toyota USA Instagram page posted several historical “Toyota Land Cruiser badges” with the following caption: “Nothing better than a comeback story. The legend returns… #LetsGoPlaces”.
Facebook Toyota USA led with “Did you really think we’d be gone for long? The legend returns.” And they rolled the same set of Land Cruiser badges.
Since no other details were shared, it is challenging to predict just what we will see when the new 2024 Land Cruiser makes its world premiere. I might venture a guess that we will see a teaser campaign where we get small glimpses at this legendary beast. Same as we got from 2024 Tacoma and Toyota Tundra too.
What Will 2024 Land Cruiser be Like?
We may be able to get some clues as to what Land Cruiser will look like and how it will perform from other releases around the world. Land Cruiser 2024 may take many cues from overseas legends Land Cruiser Prado and Land Cruiser 300 Series.
Or it may also borrow some aspects of the just-revealed 2024 Lexus GX 550. I was able to attend the Lexus GX and Lexus TX double feature premiere in Austin last week. The new GX is a showstopper, both inside and out.
Fans Comment on 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser
I filmed a video this morning on this Land Cruiser teaser. People commenting both on my “ToyotaJeff Reviews” YouTube channel and the Toyota USA platforms seemed thrilled, to say the least.
“Wow!!! I really didn't expect this. They could come out with a "LC300 style" using the bare-bones GX which is coming with the same power train, and a smaller "Prado" version based on the Tacoma underpinnings?” Commented JoeWitAFro.
Shahram added. “Go Toyota, go Jeff, we love it. Can’t wait for it. Thanks a lot.”
“I'm betting a 2024 Lexus GX 550 look alike but with better off-road options!” Said an excited Scott.
From the pages of “take my wallet please Toyota” comes this gem. “My wallet can’t handle these (fire hot) releases from you Toyota! Best in the game!” Wrote Thealexbeltran.
Brandon beamed. “Been killing it with all the new redesigns.”
“Make it super cool Toyota USA if it wears the Land Cruiser badge it has to be amazing.” Pleaded Jay.
“Toyota USA y'all are destroying the game right now. This is legendary. You are LEGENDARY!! Hats off. Just when I thought the continuation of the manual transmission in the 4th gen Tacoma was peak, you go and top it. *Tears of JOY*”. Well said Kyle.
Daniel commented. “I really hope it’s the Land Cruiser Prado. The US has never had this overseas gem, really looking forward to it.”
“Toyota USA man, y’all are really stepping up! This is the best news I could wake up to!” Said an overjoyed Michael.
“Can’t wait — Great job with all new Designs— wow every other model is better than the previous!!! Great job Toyota!” Exclaimed Hamid.
