Today I am doing a deep dive into the world of Toyota sales – specifically for the first half of 2023.
This topic is interesting to me, as pretty much all auto brands are fighting to dig their way out of this worldwide vehicle shortage.
Including Toyota.
2023 Toyota RAV4
I have written previous stories on Toyota hybrid sales for both June and for the first six months. Not sure if this is a surprise or not, but 2023 RAV4 Hybrid was the top dog on both lists.
Well, as expected, Toyota RAV4 remained in the first position for Toyota gasoline-only models for the first half of 2023.
Over 187,000 people (from January to June) now have a brand new 2023 RAV4 in their driveways.
And it makes sense too. RAV4, RAV4 Hybrid, and RAV4 Prime all offer the benefits of long-term reliability, solid technology and multimedia capabilities, great safety features, and good passenger and cargo space.
Plus, Toyota RAV4 just plain looks good as well.
Video: Here is my teaser breakdown of the 2024 Land Cruiser. How does it look so far?
Toyota Audio Multimedia and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ were part of several important and practical 2023 Toyota RAV4 changes. This makes buying a new one quite an attractive proposition.
Top 8 Toyota Sales
Here are the best-selling Toyota gasoline-only models for the first six months. Did your favorites make the list?
- RAV4 187,017
- Camry 150,742
- Tacoma 116,845
- Highlander 113,264
- Corolla 97,498
- Tundra 59,735
- 4Runner 50,736
- Corolla Cross 28,336
Now there are some quirks and asterisks about this list to mention. I did not include vehicles that were specifically hybrids, as I published those lists earlier here at the Torque News / Toyota News page.
Sienna (27,937), Prius (14,941), and Venza (13,077) were strong sellers as well and could have easily been added to my list.
Time for Your Toyota RAV4 Comments
How did your favorite Toyota models fare? Why is your favorite your favorite?
Also, what Toyota model do you think is most in need of a redesign or a refresh? When should it be time to see the next body style Toyota RAV4, RAV4 Hybrid, and RAV4 Prime?
Thanks for reading everyone. See you next story.
