Everyone is waiting to get their hands on a 2020 C8 Corvette but in the meantime, one of the pre-production cars was involved in a crash.

Less than a month after the new 2020 C8 Corvette was revealed it was involved in its first public crash and it looks to have happened somewhere in California. I know this picture hurts because we're all waiting to get our hands on one and seeing one wrecked this early is painful to look at.

the Corvette supposedly clipped an oncoming car at a blind corner. There is definitely some real damage to the front quarter of the all new Corvette, but it looks like it actually handled the impact fairly well.

The composite material that makes up the C8 Corvettes body panels appears to have withstood the impact well and didn't lead to any frame failures or worse. This is a good thing considering the C7 Corvette didn't receive the highest praise for it's crash test rating.

One thing is for sure, I can not wait to get my hands on one of these cars but in the meantime, hopefully no one else wrecks anymore C8 Corvettes.

I bet it was someone from the press who just pushed the car too far during testing. It certainly wouldn't be the first time that has happened.
