Even though the new Ford Explorer’s unibody construction is viewed by some as being less than ideal for off-roading and other rigorous activities, Ford Motor Company is quick to point out just how capable their hot-selling SUV is but when the 2011 SEMA Show opens in Las Vegas, Ford will focus on featuring the smooth, street-going side of the full sized sport ute.

The Ford F Series will surely be among the most widely featured vehicles at the 2011 SEMA Show among the many exhibitors but today, Ford offered up a preview of the bestselling trucks that they are bringing to their massive SEMA display with help from Superlift, Skyjacker, CGS Performance Products and Hulst Customs.

The Ford Focus ST will arrive next year to show off the sportier side of the new C-segment hatch and sedan but when the 2011 SEMA Show opens in Las Vegas, show-goers will get a look at the spicy side of the current standard production Ford Focus with help from the likes of Roush Performance, 3d Carbon, Steeda, and Cobb Tuning.

Ford Motor Company has just started teasing their products destined for the 2011 SEMA Show including a video talking about a new product from the Ford restoration parts division – with the video offering extreme close up shots of what looks to be a 1964 Ford Mustang.

At the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, Green will go mainstream as almost every automaker there will trot out a solution for making vehicles run cleaner and use less fuel. Cars achieving over 40-mpg via gasoline or clean diesel have doubled, while. Some form of electrification is powering 25 percent more vehicles than at the last show.

Rumors around the high performance muscle car world are indicating that when the 2011 SEMA Show opens, GM Performance Parts (GMPP) will unveil their new Stock Eliminator Chevrolet Camaro – a purpose built drag car that will help GM racers keep up with the likes of the Ford Mustang Cobra Jet and the Dodge Challenger V10 Drag Pak.
