News topics for today, July 26th, in the year 2012. Just 147 days left until DOOOOM. Unless the Maya just ran out of space to carve on, in which case, it's 147 days until Winter.
The lowly oil pump has changed little for much of automotive history, but recent developments and a new international project group have shown that new variable-displacement oil pumps, common in high-end European cars, can greatly improve engine efficiencies in all combustion engines.
Working today on a story that will list our and comment on the top however many celebrity NEAR tragedies. No deaths or serious injury stories. I will mention the two numbskulls in mirror cars and link back. Also OJ, Brittany, A Coupel Kennedys (Not Ted) and some others. This might take me all day. Hope that is OK.
I wasn't going to cover this here because we cover automotive on TN -
It's just in time for the e-Power/TTXGP race at Laguna Seca (I suppose that's what you mean by Mazda, because when you're there you're inundated with Mazda propaganda)
The issue is that Steve Atlas had a bad wreck at the Infineon round of the TTXGP (Infineon Raceway is now known as Sonoma Raceway until they find a new sponsor for that track) -- and while he showed up at the Empulse launch, raced the TTXGP at Portland, and raced the REFUEL at..uh..Mazda, this indicates that he's not well .. maybe. He had six cracked vertebrae ..so.. it was amazing that he did the things he did earlier.
I don't know what to suggest - I go to every TTXGP race (and will be at this one this weekend) but have not posted race reports on TN. I publish those elsewhere.
Maybe I've been assuming incorrectly - but early on Armen wasn't too hip on having TTXGP race reports here.
As nice as the VA Tech team is, this is their second time in the series, and maybe they don't understand the significance of which organization is running the race this weekend.
FIM is running the race under the e-Power name, and the TTXGP organization is invited to participate. VA Tech is racing as a TTXGP team, and will earn points within the TTXGP, but it's an e-Power race.
Planning to revamp sagging French auto fabrication.
FYI - the Mayans have event predictions up until 4347 AD. The end of the 13 ages simply means it begins again. When ours ends we hang a new one. When theirs ends, it simply returns to the beginning and the 13 ages start over.
Yes - the calendar is based on a very long cycle (?26,000 years?) of changes of arrangements of stars in the sky - it's a very long circle, not a one-way highway to doom.
The Mayans, Chinese, and Egyptians all had roughly the same zodiacal calendar. It progressed 25,920 years through 12 houses at a rate of about 2,160 years per house, based apparently on movements of the stars. On the Greek zodiac (taken from the Egyptians), we are leaving Pisces and entering Aquarius. This stuff is nearly as old as humanity and is one of my hobbies as I have a keen interest in ancient history and pre-history. :)

it makes sense since electric motorcycles are driving the EV race, virtually. I sent them both an email.
Wonder if I can do the other same topic article then?
