However, it seems that feral hog overpopulation is rampant in Texas and causes $500 million in damage each year. They even have contests to see which county can collect the most hog tails, if you can believe that. This was all new to me.

Wild hogs are an invasive species threatening a lot of Texas wildlife and ecosystems. Much bigger threat than people who want to drive a little faster.
